I was looking at a different thread, and suddenly it hit me. NES was my gateway system. My dad bought an NES before I was born, and I spent so much time playing Duck Hunt and Mike Tyson's Punch Out. When all the kids in my school started playing Pokemon, some got N64's so they could play Stadium on them. I begged for a system, and got the PS1, and started playing more and more games, since they had stopped making games for the NES a long time ago, and I never got far in many games. THe rest as they say is history. How did you guys get into gaming?

Pretty much the same for me. We had a NES since I was about 4. I basically grew up with Nintendo consoles until the 64. After that, we got a PS2, then an X-Box, and that was around the time I started buying them for myself. I bought a Gamecube for Col/XD and a Wii as soon as I could. Recently I got a 360 for Halo 3 and will be getting some more games for that soon.

Super Mario Bros for my fifth birthday. : )

I got a Game Boy colour for my birthday along with pokemon gold, and that just really started my liking of games.

That is probably the most difficult question I've ever been asked... apart from "what is the square root of fluxnard"... I seem to remember when my brother and I shared a room, and when I woke up, he was playing Tekken 3 on our TV. It looked fun. I also remember him and his mates trading Pokemon from Red to Blue. And I also remember getting shouted at by my brother when I started a new game while he had Mew on his saved data. And that's how gaming got into my life.

I got Super Mario All-Stars for a Christmas present when I was 5. I very nearly had a sega megadrive instead as my Mum wasn't sure which one to pick. Since then, I've mainly followed nintendo consoles & games.

My family owned an NES since before I was born...my dad was a living legend at the arcade classics, in addition to Mario and Zelda.

So one night, we were all gathered in my parents' bedroom cheering Dad on as he guided Mario through waves of Goombas, Koopas, and other things. Finally, he offered the controls to me and said "Okay, sweetie, it's your turn."

I did not want to put the controls down when bedtime came around!

The rest is history!

My brother got a N64 when I was 1, And I played Super Mario 64 when I was 2 or 3.

My older sister got the SNES/Super Mario World package about the same time I was born. So I've been a Ninty fan for life. <3

I started with Phantasy Star IV and some Sonic games on my Sega Genesis. Eventually, I would get Pokemanz, which got me further into gaming. Then later on, I would start playing other console and PC games, such as Final Fantasy VII, Phantasy Star Universe, Diablo II, etc.; until where I am now, playing the Super Robot Taisen series.

I had a Sega Genesis when I was a kid, but I didn't really understand the whole gaming thing until my seventh birthday when I got Pokemon Blue. I loved that game so much. Now I'm playing Fire Emblem, Smash and Halo 3, my parents are kicking themselves in their collective asses.
