You get your FC the first time you enter Nintendo Wi-Fi connection. Go into the Wi-Fi room, then leave (provided you can connect to it).

some of my favourite pokemon are the Piplup Evos, on my Diamond, Empoleon is one of the powerhouses on my team, i take it you're a fan of empoleon too?
