Erm, I sort of hope that humanoid Pokemon will have more extreme gender differences than just the size of their horns or whatever.

Case in point - I'm not the only one slightly creeped out by male Gardevoirs and female Machokes, right? Any other thoughts on this?

Hopefully they do take this opportunity to rectify that blatant problem.

Though male Gardevoirs are more weird to me than female Machoke. Dunno why, but it seems to fit well enough as a female to me as is. May just be the breasts.

No problem with male Gardevoir here; heck, I prefer them in my party. ^_^ They're not /that/ feminine looking. They're just purdy all round.

The Machop line though, that's weird. o.o But what can be done about it? ^^;

There is only one pokemon I really wonder about with this gender difference thing going on: Jinx.

All Jynx are female so that won't be an issue. Edit: Doctor Oak beat me to it. :p

I don't see that much problem but it will be interesting to see what happens with those lines.

I don't see the problem. I've seen real women that look like female Machoke. I've seen real men that come...fairly close...to male Gardevoir. Not like there are obvious and easily seen gender-specific things about either one. Little work out or padding can even things out.

Decrease the bust size on male Gardevoirs and make Machoke and Machamp look more like She-Hulk and less like Hulk Hogan would be fine.

I wonder...will female!Machoke and Machamp be given sports bras?

And on a more serious note, will Nidoran still have two different numbers or will it be considered a split evolution now?

They didn't change them when they added genders...why change anything now? Besides, the level-up moves are different, even for just the Nidorans.

I'm a bit worried about the "political correctness" craze sweeping the world right now. I mean, there are most definately gonna be people that are against their children distinguishing their pokemon by cup size. *shudders*

Omg that's what I was thinking xDDD I even drew that once as a joke.

But I dunno...what about Makuhita? Bigger cheeks on the male? xD
Oy, and Medicham. Those always creep me out. What'll they do for them? Bigger lips on the female?

I only hope they don't go crazy with the female parts. I like my male Kirilia with a frilly skirt thing...besides, men can be ballet dancers too...

Yeah, that'd be cool.

People need to stop comparing humanoid Pokemon to people, yeah they have SOME human characteristics but they're STILL Pokemon so they don't necessarily have to conform to HUMAN STEREOTYPICAL male and female features

This obsession with no-skirt Gardevoirs and sports-bra Machoke correlates with how uptight American culture is about gender specification, I think. The Japanese are less so (consider Bashou from the anime, he was changed into a she in the English version just because he LOOKS traditionally female). I think you all are going to be severely disappointed when the differences are minimal.

Look at Hassamu(Scizor, I think, for English),

I know, it's really not humanoid, but the only distinguishing feature between male and female is the size of it's abdomen.

It could, for Gohriki (Machop for America), be a difference in markings, like it was in Butterfree.

I was just getting to that! (the Scizor thing)

Now, how about Kadabra and Alakazam? For females, I say...remove the mustaches. Seriously.
