Shuukan Pokemon Housoukyoku Episode 045: "Another Legend of Celebi!"
Pokemon Chronicles Episode 12: "Celebi & Joy"

Toonami UK, 4:30pm and 7:00pm
Hiroshi and Celebi have an adventure as they try to help a Joi keep her Pokemon Center from being closed down.

In Japan, this episode aired between the Pokemon Advanced Challenge episodes "A Togepi Mirage" and "Candid Camerupt." The special that aired before this one in Japan, "The Rocket-Dan! The Origin of Love and Youth!," will air next week in the U.K.

Post your thoughts about the episode here. Please mark any spoilers for episodes not that have yet to air in America in spoiler tags.

I loved the concept of Old Joy/Little Joy!

But did anyone get the feeling that Richie was just being used by Celebi?

And is Ash the only one who can do a good title card?

This episode gets kudos for having one of the most unique plots in the history of the anime. I liked it.

Nick's voice sounds a little like Ash. And on a different note, that's the oldest Joy I've ever seen! She's cool!

Ritchie made time his bitch, throwing out all care for keeping the time-space continuum correct, and pretty much interfered with everything.

Regardless, I liked it. It was pretty nice.

I just hate they took out that beautiful "lalalalala" part at the end, that song makes me cry (name?)

It's track 17 on the Celebi movie soundtrack, best as I can figure.

Also, this has to be the least talked-about episode ever. This thread's over a year old and it's only gotten five replies!

No title for the song, huh?

I'll call it "Recalled to Life", lol. Sounds nice.

I do think this is the first episode in like ever to have a Ponyta in it.

I really liked this episode, because it was so different and it wasnt about battling pokemon.

but I thought that TR epiosde was supposed to be on, but it was skipped or something...?

There's all kinds of weird orders for the Chronicles episodes. (I count at least four variations.) Training Daze will probably air next week.

I don't get why Richie just changed all of those things that happened. He could have seriously screwed up time. But I guess it worked out for the better because the pokemon center wasn't tore down and instead of being dead Nick (i think his name was) became mayor.

I assume that Celebi knew it would be safe to get Richie to save him.

The main danger I see is the world Richie returns to becoming entirely different to the one he left but the change appears to have been fairly localised... unless it really is a different place and we just don't know it yet.

^^^^
Ah yes, by changing the once modernized town he left, into a "nature wonderland", nearby towns probably catch on to the trend as well, thus stopping pollution, thus ridding the world of Grimer and various other pollution-made Pokemon.

Training Daze'd better air next week. I'm sick of waiting to get to stare at James. Running the Meowth eps wouldn't hurt either.

Going by Dogasu's schedule, the Meowth episodes should air in the first and third week of October.
