Preview HZ114: Mega Evolution: Bond

Finally Horizons specials!! That will be probably treated as regular episodes, but whatever. It will be fun to see Roy and Lucario meeting and understanding what Mega Evolution is about, while we get some Z-A promotion. Sadly I don't expect many XY anime characters to appear, but seems like a nice small story that will contribute to Horizons' landscape.

EMMA? WHAT?? I was convinced that if she were to appear she'd do it in her Z-A outfit, but nope, she being an orphan makes me think we could see an adaptation of Episode Looker (with the new villain replacing Xerosic) and that we could see her going from a naive girl to a detective.

It feels likely this is premiering between seasons (as going by patterns the next one should premiere in October), so whatever the next arc is it will be 3 episodes shorter because of this. Another option is just that Mega Voltage will go on and last as long as a dub season (42ish episodes).

The dub ordering of this season will be interesting to see. Episodes 90-111, after 111 and this mini-arc. I feel they're gonna pull a Arceus chronicles and just compile them into a feature special when it comes to Netflix.
 
So aside from Roy acquiring Lucario from this mini-arc, I'm wondering, after all the promotion, is their going to be a surprise twist to this mini-arc that we've not known.

Capt Pikachu is with Roy during his training, so i'd be interested to learn why it followed Roy along his training quest. Then there are all of the mega evolution pokemon, which I'm guessing will all appear in this three episode special, along with perhaps the other new mega pokemon evolutions.

Man, these condiment-themed names are crazy.

Count Oyster - oyster sauce
Shoyu - Japanese word for soy sauce
 
i hope the end of episode 114 shows us the final scene of episode 89 (1 year after the events) to tie the inter timeskip period to a close, but also have some new animation too

At least the dub will put it into a movie for the mega evolution horizons
 
I don't have any major expectations for this episode, but I would mind seeing what is Lucario's potential fourth move. That and some acknowledgement of what Master Mayonnaise's relation is to Yellow Blast.
