Briar gathers Liko and the others to tell them about Terapagos' secrets and her theory for how the Rakulium can be purified. After hearing what she has to say, Roy wants to leave Blueberry Academy immediately. Seeing this, Kakitsubata suggests they have a Pokémon battle first, and while Roy is initially hesistant, Liko and the others successfully encourage him to engage in this rematch...!

Maybe we will see more of a return to Roy and Crocolar singing. Obviously, if Crocolar evolves, Skeledirge will have a big singing part as well

Really surprised we might be leaving Blueberry so soon! If Roy doesn't change his mind by the end of this episode, I'd be a little disappointed admittedly. I would've liked the group to spend some more time here, with each of them having room for battles and their own respective episodes and whatnot. Capping off the previous arc with the group vowing to train at this prodigious battle school and then leaving this quickly (with Liko and Dot not even having battled any of the E4) feels really hasty to me.

I worry about how the rest of Horizons will be paced knowing we're probably approaching the series' endgame soon. I feel like we're going to be hopping from place to place without really slowing down to stop and smell the roses, but who knows?

About the episode itself though, they have been teasing Crocalor's egg recently, so I can definitely imagine an evolution happening, although I always felt they might save it for a more high-stakes battle. Time will tell!

Since this episode has a sparkle in the calendar...Crocolar evolution time?

Though I'm not sure about leaving BB Acacedmy. They haven't been there very long and it would be kinda weird if they left so soon after hyping the heck out of them going there...
I get they have to deal with the Laquim, but they need to be strong to deal with the Explorers to do it.

Why do people keep saying that??? @_@

We have about a year until the next generation/mainline game, so we'll will have Horizons for a while (even with a record breaking number of breaks). There is NO reason to end things before next fall...

Oh noo I don't mean to say that it'll end before next fall! I think we've got around a year left as well, to line up with Gen 10. It's just that Rising Again might be the 2nd last arc of the series, so I'm just curious about how things will be paced for the next and possibly final year.

Hence the curios emoji :p

Ah. Okay then. My mistake.

I feel like I've heard the same for a while, like people on Twitter saying Horizons will end soon (supposedly based on leaks). My theory is that it's mostly the haters transitioning from "Ash will come back" to "Horizons will end", maybe as some kind of reassurance that Horizons was a failure or something similar.

I personally feel like it's too soon to go into that. I don't want to think about it like "oh, only that amount of time left with these characters". I'd rather instead think about the cool things that could still happen! It's great that we're getting long-awaited evolution episodes. Do you think the arc will have another rematch between Roy and Liko at the end, with both Meowscarada and Skeledirge fully evolved?
(and that would leave Dot as the only one who has to catch up with her starter - I imagine Quaxwell standing with Tinkaton and Gholdengo and noticing he's not really the "eldest/big brother" anymore)

After this episode if the crew stay at Blueberry Academy for a while longer, I really hope that we don't get another Roy vs. Drayton battle, regardless of the result. I just don't want to keep seeing Roy having rematches when we could see battles with other people.

After this episode if they stay at Blueberry Academy, I hope we don’t get another Roy episode for at least a month. Dude’s been eating a 5 course meal while the others have gotten fast food.
