Everyone gets Mega Pokemon except for Liko and Dot... and people still say that I exagerrate when I say that female lead characters in the anime have been done extremely dirty after DP....

You know what? Screw this. I'm stopping with the anime right now. Not gonna waste my time on an animated show with an agenda against women. I had already enough frustration with this series. Nevermind Spinel, I'm done.
 
At last we're finally heading into Laqua to potentially wrap up the main storyline. I just hope they're able to deliver since the show's been really mediocre for a while now and this is basically the show's last chance for me before I move on to other stuff.

Good on Coral and Sidian getting to Mega Evolve their Pokémon but the animation quality is looking mighty rough though on the other hand they're probably saving the big guns for the final battle with Spinel.

Don't worry about it. Liko might be giving a Bond Phenomenon since they won't let that slide. On top of that a New Arc occur. That involve with Ditto of the new game from Pokopie.

That might interesting.
 
Summary, via Dephender

The operation meant to fully eradicate the Rakulium finally begins! The group splits into two and heads towards the central parts of Rakua, but as Liko and the others make their way through the forest, Rubella and Indi appear before them and send out Desukarn and Deathbarn that have been strengthened with Strong Spheres! Dot, Nemo and Botan stay behind to battle, letting Liko continue onward on her own, but...?!

A Pokopia anime.... they're gonna cover the entire year up to Wind/Wave's eventual series with a Pokopia anime... Not really what I was expecting when they said "something special that will make older fans happy". But I really don't care anyway. The writers already made me mad enough, so I don't care anymore. Like I said, I'm not gonna support the works of people who seem to have an agenda against women. I'm done.

Am I going to become a widower in the episode after this one? Well, only way to find out is to wait and watch.


The reveal of all the explorers suddenly having megas is not exactly surprising, but still a little out of the blue, it would have been great if there was more buildup to it? But who know how they handle it here, maybe it will be spectacular

Try being a Yu-Gi-Oh fan during the Studio Gallop era. You'd assume that misogyny was rampant. Wasn't until Bridge made the Rush Duel duology that we saw female duelists not only win, but as main characters that contributed to the story as anything besides the damsel in distress or the annoying cheerleader.
 
the pokopia thing caught me so offguard LMAO. i'm really confused about it, like is the actual story of horizons coming to a proper end with the final battle and then they're just using cap as a segway into whatever pokopia thing they're doing, or are liko/roy and crew actually going to be involved with the new pokopia related story? i'm honestly not sure how i feel about this. of course i'm very sad at the idea of horizons as i know it ending in just a few weeks, but at the same time i really want liko & co to go out with a bang. i don't want them to be flanderized into oblivion, i do not want them to be dragged through the corporate marketing hellscape for years, i want them to have a satisfying conclusion to their story. i want horizons to feel Final and not go out on a weird whimper because they had to pad time before gen 10. and i'm not foreseeing how they're going to make a satisfying end for horizons with a pokopia related story so i almost don't want liko & co to be involved with it. at the end of rayquaza rising i would have been more confident, but my trust has been admittedly shaken by the writing quality since mega voltage. maybe there is a way for horizons to end in a satisfying way even if it gets bridged into some weird pokopia plot, but i don't know... guess we'll just have to see. for now i am considering the final battle in rakua "the end", even if i'm sad.

i'm excited for the final battle though! i'm just hoping they can somehow pace and balance so many characters doing different things here. but surely since it's the end they're going to put everything they've got into it... right?? lol. happy about the summary implying a liko focus on this upcoming episode too, though i am very sad about dot/nemo/botan apparently staying behind. dot being left behind feels so weird. i know she expressed doing better as backup but she was there for the first battle in rakua and i'm going to be honest there's no reason she shouldn't be more present in the second. i'm biased as a dot enjoyer but her being treated like a side character here on the same level as nemo and botan is like... strange??? idk. it's too early to actually know, maybe she'll be more present later, but eugh. i just have concerns!!

edit: i kinda misspoke earlier, i know horizons isn't going to literally end with this episode, the final battle will probably take a bit even if they announce pokopia stuff on the 17th. but you get what i mean

If I can hazard a guess, the Pokémon Company likely doesn't want to have a long running anime series with central characters anymore as they feel like they an original series that runs the course of three or four years is enough to justify a generation. Either that, or they don't want another situation where people kept asking about Ash going through a region and stumbling in the quarterfinals of a tournament because his opponent had two Legendaries. With the Laqua story finally complete, what else would there be for the cast? I mean, you can create new things, but Laqua was essentially the entirety of Horizons.

Pokopia, on the other hand, seems like a self contained story that can run for about a year or so as it's own anime and then transition to the new series set around Winds and Waves. Remember that Team Rocket did things with the Generation IX starters before Horizons began.

Given the Explorers have the reputation and resources, it wouldn't have been too difficult for Spinel to arrange for the admins to have been equipped with Key Stones and respective Mega Stones for their mons. Sango's probably going to get some mileage out of using it since she's the biggest Self-Destruct enjoyer by a mile.

MEGA EVOLVING SANGO YEAAAAAHHHHHH!!!
So, the show kinda disappointed me with how the Sango, Agate and Onyx flashback was very brief in that episode, along with how average the Mega Lucario Z battle was in the latest episode after I thought the preview looked cool.
But I have faith that Sango Mega Evolving won't disappoint! Like, idk just the idea of her Mega Evolving sounds awesome!!
Hopefully her Mega Evolution lasts a while in the episode. The main thing I'm worried about is it being brief, like those flashbacks.
I am sad that Horizons is probably ending though, this show is so special to me.
