Preview HZ137: Reboot! Off to the World of Adventure!!

I imagine they chose ”reboot” in particular to describe Wonder Voyage in order to represent that this is a completely new adventure, given they completed their first adventure when they purified the Raquium. I’m guessing they want to make it clear this is an entirely new chapter of the story that will largely be disconnected from the Raqua storyline. They’re using it the same way you’d say you’re going to reboot your computer, as in to start it up again.
 
I suppose that it is safe to assume that this episode will introduce us to the new girl and perhaps the Ditto as well. Don't quote me on this, ubt I have a feeling the new girl may the Ditto that we constantly see in advertisements. Although, I may just be off of my rocker with that one.
 
i'm trying to be really open minded to whatever is coming to us with wonder voyage. i'll be happy with it if it's a little more laid back and we get some great character moments before (hopefully) a new anime entirely takes over for gen 10 next year. i do wonder what the quartet of kids' new motivations and goals are going to be and of course i'm interested in navi... much to think about
 
^ same. So what if some episodes are based on mobile games? We're getting adventures with Paldea's legendaries.

Heck, with the way people were female dogging about plot issues post time-skip, some fillers means there will be less reason for them female dog...

Now that their adventure in Rakua is over, Liko and the others have just been sitting around absentmindedly without doing much of anything. However, one day Friede visits them and invites them along for some fieldwork to investigate an amazing Pokémon. That Pokémon turns out to be a Hinbass...

Idk why that part "sitting around absentmindedly without doing much of anything" is so funny to me, but it is.
But the kids certainly do deserve some time off to be doing nothing.
I wonder if Friede will be "character of the week" or a regular quest giver.

He can be recurring now that he's back to being a researcher on Laquium.

Yeah, it would make sense. And it gives a very easy way to introduce new content to the anime.
Friede: "Liko, I need you to spin 10 pokestops and send 5 gifts, can you do that? I am too busy being a corporate bigwig now, I can't do that myself" or something.

aaaaaaaaarghhhhhhh literally the 'plot' of Pokemon Go is "you must walk around the world, catch pokemon and send them to a pokemon professor who also sometimes gives you special quests tied to legendary pokemon" which sounds exactly like the promo poster for Wonder Voyage
 
If you squint very very hard then Friede is even mildly similar to that Pokémon go professor

The RVTs after Raqua: “…so now what?”

The summary has a pretty funny way of phrasing it but I wouldn’t want to be doing much either after all that stress. Though I wonder if part of it is that they simply aren’t sure what they want to do next.

Though really, producers? You're going make Horizons into a Paldea-themed Journeys 2.0? Can we at least get old characters back again? :confused:

This Hinbass does seem to act quite different from how it's described in the zukan, though... A new adventure is now about to begin, with everyone's heart filled with their own individual desires!
