We don't know the US release date for the DS Lite, but it's been confirmed as coming stateside. I bet they'll announce the date at E3 next month.
 
I don't imagine it'll be all that soon. There's still shortages in Japan, and they're going to send them there until they can manage to get a large supply of them.

I'd expect that the US might see it around the same time as the Revolution, Thanksgiving.
 
From what I hear, the shortages of DS systems in Japan is starting to not be an issue anymore. So that really won't affect the sale of the system in the US.

Also, note I said that they'd probably ANNOUNCE the release date at E3, not that it'd be released in the US by then.

My money is on it being released by the summer.
