I can't change my name

Okay, so I change my name from Axle Helios to a Soviet-ised version of it for April Fools, and have just gotten around to changing it back. In the New Username box, I put in Axle Helios, but it said that the name is already in use. I did a Username Search for Axle Helios, and it said it was an invalid username. How do I get my name back?
 
If I remember rightly (and I probably don't), the forums "keep ahold" of your 5 previous usernames so that nobody can take them, ironically including yourself. I believe you can just ask an admin to change it back.
 
I think you have to wait 2 weeks to change ur username.
If u see CHange Email&Password&Username u can change it.Or either ask a mod to change it for u.I think u gotta wait 2 weeks after u changed ur name.
 
It does have the Change Password & Email & Username, but it gives an error after I try to change it. I think Iteru's right, though.
 
I have the same question and I think now I have to change 5 times so the previous name would be available.
 
That's usually how it works, I'm not sure if there's a time limit that passes as well or not because it seems to me a name I used in the past was available after four months and I didn't change my name five times. But if you just PM an admin and ask them nicely, more chances than not they'll do it for you. They're here to help us, don't be afraid of them. lol

But the thing is this issue don't matter much so asking an admin would be unnecessary
 
Through experience, I know that you will be able to change your name back eventually.
I was able to, without contacting an admin, just make sure you've waited two weeks :)
 
Same happens to me. I can't change my username back to Zorua. I changed it to an upside down version of Zorua on April Fools, but I couldn't change back to Zorua. Hence why I had to change it to The Zorua.
 
Just put an underscore after Axle, Iteru is right, when I tryed to change my name back to Atmey Detective, it said it's already in use, so I just put an underscore in there.

There is no other fix. Tell evkl or another admin to change it via VM or PM. No need for dots or underscores.
 
Yeah, just for everyone saying this, I thought it was clear, but it has been about three weeks since I changed my username, and the option to change it its available.
 
To explain, the issue isn't whether or not you can change it--it's just that you need to rotate through 5 names to get your last one back.
