I decided to put this in its own thread as this isn't really to do with the general discusion on the Pokewalker, this is to do with the many people I hear who have big complaints about this new little gimick device. So here is a thread to list them and discuss with others about them.

So, I can't stand the Pokewalker because:

*It takes too much effort, 5000 steps just to get the rare Pokemon.
*The number of Pokemon available is severely limited.
*They only have 1/2 the Pokemon on offer of each stroll.
*There is no way to guarantee or even improve the chances of getting that rare Pokemon and not another Pokemon.
*If you connect your Pokewalker with your DS at all you lose all of your Watts on your Pokewalker.
*The Pokemon have set levels and set genders, set moves.
*Pokemon like Houndour that aren't available in Johto until after the Elite 4 also aren't available in Pokewalker until after the Elite 4.
*It is just frustrating when you are trying to get that one Pokemon and you don't know whether you can get it on this particular stroll or if you have to restart the stroll, if you do then you lose all your watts you've saved up.

So what are some of your problems with this device?

*It takes too much effort, 5000 steps just to get the rare Pokemon.
You are recommended to walk minimum 10 000 steps a day, 5000 is nothing, "go for a stroll" yourself sometimes.
*The number of Pokemon available is severely limited.
Better than having to catch them in the Safari Zone
*They only have 1/2 the Pokemon on offer of each stroll.
I don't mind this.
*There is no way to guarantee or even improve the chances of getting that rare Pokemon and not another Pokemon.
Use an advantageous type.
*If you connect your Pokewalker with your DS at all you lose all of your Watts on your Pokewalker.
There should be a two way system for watts
*The Pokemon have set levels and set genders, set moves.
Yes, it bothers my somewhat, not the set moves on all though.
*Pokemon like Houndour that aren't available in Johto until after the Elite 4 also aren't available in Pokewalker until after the Elite 4.
Agree
*It is just frustrating when you are trying to get that one Pokemon and you don't know whether you can get it on this particular stroll or if you have to restart the stroll, if you do then you lose all your watts you've saved up.
Just walk some more, it's not that hard really.

I like it in general, and believe it or not, but it make me walk more than I used to.:yahoo:
