WOO, yay me.
Anywho, for the final project for Studio 5 Art, the last art class available in our school, our assignment was to paint anything on a canvas no smaller than 4' x 4'. ANYTHING. Thinking back, I hadn't done any art projects based on Pokemon, and that seemed like a heresy, soooo...
Perhaps not my greatest work ever, but given that we had little over a week to finish it, thrown in with every other class' worth of work to be done, AND the fact that it's 5' x 4', I'm not too disappointed. Pikachu looks kinda retarded, but I'll deal with it.
I've always been a fan of Jiggly-/Wigglytuff. XD
Close-up points of interest:
- Gary: My favorite trainer ever, cause I love cocky arrogant jerks. Naturally he's the only one awake cause of his kickass music. Smell ya later indeed, Gary.
-The Rocked Balloon: Yeah, I never got around to coloring in the ears, or the area behind the ropes for that matter. Well I don't give a crap, cause it was one of the last parts and by then I was drained.
-Prof. Oak: Well I was pretty happy with him until I threw a nose and mouth on, but hey, with all the doodles on his face it doesn't even matter. I had some space in the corner and I figured, "lol Oak" and thus there he is.
-Brock: Probably my actual favorite part of this picture. I'm not sure why, but I feel like Brock came out perfectly. Very, very satisfying, given how not-so-perfect other parts ended up. XD
-Ash & Misty: I figured that in the show they always fall asleep kinda leaned on eachother, so I threw that in here again. Course, since Ash was the first part I drew, there was no space for Misty, so you only get the top of her head. Deal with it. :3 Oh, and I know I skipped coloring one of Ash's buttons. Deal with that too.
-Jigglypuff: The centerpiece of the picture, and the part I really DID paint first (Not Ash, mah bad). I'm pretty content with the color and everything. The music note was scribbled in Sharpie cause I figured A) Jigglypuff owns with markers, so it was fitting, and B) My black paint had gotten all crusty cause the last person to use it was retarded and left it too open. D<
AND NOW, UNRELATED:
When my girlfriend told me "I'm gonna paint something for you", I did NOT expect her to paint my favorite scene from the Pokemon manga EVER. That, and she even included the "vroom", which I love so much. This is by far the greatest gift ever. XD She's much more talented than I am, as anyone with eyes could tell. ewe;
That's all for now, we'll see what I end up doodling. Ironically, my doodles always look better than my real projects, so they'll be more interesting. XD
UPDATE: Yeah, I proceeded to hop right into another doodle of mine.
Gary: Gyarados, Hyper Beam, go!
Gyarados: SHOOP DA WOOP, I'MA CHARGIN MA LAZER!
Gary: ...wtf.
