I DON'T GET IT

i'm new to the pokemon internet seen(although i played the games since G/S/C) and i had some questions:

1.spiriting? what is it?(isnt it mixing to pokemon together??)

2. howis it done and can someone do it for me?(once i learn waht it is! LOL!)

3. how are all the banners made? i see people with like pokemon banners and little pics when pokemon on them underneath their posts.

4. can someone do it for me or explain how i can do it?

1. Spriting is the "art" (if you can call most of it that... I really question it sometimes) of making the Pokémon pictures that appear in the games.

2. Any drawing program.

3. ...Any drawing program.

4. There's not really a set way you make a banner.. you just.. open up your drawing program of choice. There's banner shops in the Artist's Alcove on here.

Er.. what do you mean, "on where"? o.o

By "any drawing program", I mean something like Paint.. and by the Artist's Alcove, I mean this area.
