I recall seeing Sugimori art of Movies 6-8, but never of Movie 4.

Anyone know if there's any Sugimori art from 1-3?
I have the sketched versions for movie one, and I know there's that fairly well known one of Mii from the 3rd movie, but otherwise nope. Nothing else I know of. Unless you suddenly wanna count the Raikou Special and the recent ninth movie. ^^;

Raikou Special? I'm interested. I've seen the Sugimori art of Bashou and Buson from the Raikou Special, but other than that I haven't seen anything. Is there more?

Here's the LoT sketches. Note Marina's outfit, and the fact that Bashou apparently has two pokémon we didn't see.

Edit: That's odd, I loaded them all the same and for some reason Junichi's picture doesn't show a thumbnail...

Ooh! I wasn't aware of the Sugimori art for the movies! Is there any for the fifth movie?

If anyone's interested, the art from movie 9 is currently on the site
Sorry if everyone knew about this.

I second that request!

I always thought it was weird how the Sugimori Ash pic doesn't have the Z's under his eyes.

Maybe those were added by one of the animators or by the person who drew Ash.

Wait, wasn't Sugimori the person who drew Ash originally? I don't know. I'm very confused about that......

Sugimori did the original character design, but that doesn't mean the anime character designer (Ichiishi Sayuri) won't make modifications...

Ah. I see what you mean......

So that's probably what happened then. They modified Sugimori's Ash from the original design and gave him the Z's.

That's so cool!! ^^
