So Ash and Hikari will both have four Pokémon in July...

It looks like the listing on the movie site was a true leak.
 
This actually sucks. Who's Ash's water-type gonna be now? He HAD a chance to catch a Bidoof, didn't he? The writers COULD HAVE made him catch one in the end.

Maybe they're gonna give him Totodile as an advert (along with Cyndaquil, of course, Sinnoh lacks fire-types)?

I know this is like the fifth time I mentioned it, but it is a good idea of mine.

Who said he has to have a water type? If anything I thank God he's not getting the thing. Sure it's really unexpected, but last I knew that isn't a bad thing. It's about time the writers tried something different. We've had the same type patterns and crap every series so far. I like how they're really playing around with stuff in Diamond and Pearl. I'd rather have fun surprises like this than being able to predict things like we usually can. ._.;
 
I really don't see why it's a big deal for Ash to not get a water type.

He isn't really going to need one . .
 
Yeah. He can always borrow someone's if they need to.. cross water or something anyway. o-o
 
Bah, I'm already getting used to the idea. Dawn's Pokémon are appearantly rather fun, so at least my precious Buizel will hopefully get some good anime moments and a good personality.

That picture's pretty cool. ^^
 
Considering the only Gym he'd really need one for is already long over, he doesn't need one critically.

Artistic interpretation can always beat one's simple opinion based on not-very-much-in-the-first-place. *gloats....just a little, mind*

Y'know, next to replacing Misty and ending Kanto.
 
Dudes, either Ash and Hikari trade or there's still Shellos. Which sort of goes along with Ash's crustacean and mollusk ugly water Pokemon thing started with Kingler and continuing with Corphish.
 
Well, so Dawn is getting a Buizel. At least that's probably less of a chance of the cutie evolving. If Ash would be the one getting it, it'd probably evolve. Buizel is way too cute to evolve! Besides, Floatzel would look terrible with Dawn, I can't imagine Dawn with a Floatzel or saying "Go, Floatzel!" or something like that. Ugh! What a nightmare that would be!
 
Well, I like how this leaves room for Ash to get something better. Still not too keen about Dawn having two water types, (especially since Pochama is her starter), but as long as the movesets are pretty different than it won't be a big deal.

I like how they're making the teams less predictable like they did in AG. They split the starters among the main characters, gave him his first flyer that actually kicked ass in battle, (Mukkubird has a strong chance of surpassing Swellow in terms of strength by the end though), and actually evolved his Pokemon for once, unlike the crap he was stuck with in Johto of cutesy unevolved Pokemon. That's pretty much the reason why his AG team was so well-liked and rivaled his Kanto team for many.

Now D/P continues that, (we'll presumedly see most if not all of his D/P team evolve over the course of the series), and Dawn's team is shaping up to be pretty interesting. She still basically has all the cute Pokemon which is the same with what they gave May, so it'll be interesting to see if any of her Pokemon besides Pochama manage to evolve over the series.

I don't know how members of the fandom get their panties in a wad over this. I was somewhat excited about the prospect of Ash getting that buizel, but I'm not pitching a fit over Dawn getting it; in fact, it's just another pokemon dripping with personality joining her team. I guess the team needed a not-as-insanely-cute pokemon with a cocky attitude (well, that's the vibe I'm getting from the original picture, which was what gave me the impression that Ash would get him- not because he's a water pokemon, but because that pose and expression seemed so Ash-like to me). It's just another stone to me being paved to (what I think is) an inevitable future spin-off for Dawn.
 
Well they do have different move pools sans 2 NAM's(non attacking moves, growl and water sport) so i don't see what the big deal is with people snapping over it, though i admit watching some of the guys at serebii is very good entertaiment. Kojiro's repsonse in one thread over there is bonafied priceless.

But this is people whining because the writers didn't follow their idea for Ash's team, not something that could be...construed...as...offensive.
 
I care more about how funny Darkrai looks with legs than about who got the Buoysel =p
