This is a revamp of my old Bulbagarden League Gravity team, created about nine months ago. The team seemed to fade away along with the now-defunct league, but I decided to give it another chance, making major changes. As for those who did not know, Gravity had an additional effect of decreasing every Pokémon's Evasion by two stages (basically, it increases the accuracy of all the moves) in addition of negating Ground immunity.

Note that this team complies with the format1 tier that Kittymew established, not Smogon's OU tier. And now with no further ado, Gravity 2.0:

Jirachi@Leftovers
Serene Grace
Calm
240 HP/184 Def/84 SDef
- Thunder
- U-Turn
- Wish
- Gravity

The main lifeline of the team. Without the star-shaped granter of wishes, most of the team fail to do their best. Gravity is obvious, as is Thunder for Taunt Gyarados and Paralysis hax. Wish allows Jirachi to heal itself and its teammates mainly Garchomp, who will be taking a lot of damage from Life Orb. U-Turn is to harm any Tyranitar that runs Taunt, and allows me to switch another Pokémon to get healed by Wish.

The EV spread gives 401 HP and equalizes Jirachi's defense (with one more point on SDef for any Download P-Zs trying to torrent porn and a +1 SAtk). Note that even without any Spd EVs, it still outpaces BulkyGyara and pull a Gravity before getting Taunted, and then frying it with Thunder.

Heatran@Choice Scarf
Flash Fire
Mild
16 Atk/252 SAtk/240 Spd
- Magma Storm
- Hidden Power Ice
- Earth Power
- Explosion

Choice Scarf Heatran is one of my favorite sets for the intersex magma frog thing. S/He covers my team by resisting Ghost and Dark and being immune to Fire. Everyone has always wanted to use Magma Storm on this guy, but the accuracy would turn them off. This is not a problem in this team, as Gravity boosts Magma Storm's to an acceptable level. The other moves are standard with HP Ice for Dragons, Earth Power for other Heatran (and the notable fact that Gravity allows it to hit flyers), and Explosion because it's fun to explode on someone's special wall.

240 Spd with Mild nature hits 375 Spd with Choice Scarf, allowing Heatran to outpace standard Weavile. The rest are dumped into SAtk, and the leftovers are placed in Atk to give Explosion a little more ommph.

Garchomp@Life Orb
Sand Veil
Naive
252 Atk/16 SAtk/240 Spd
- Earthquake
- Dragon Rush
- Stone Edge
- Fire Blast

Yes, I am using the now-Uber Garchomp in this team. Love it or hate it, this guy is a terror in a Gravity team. (Spyro) The purple dragon mainly abuses its STAB Earthquakes while Gravity is in effect, with Stone Edge, Dragon Rush, and Fire Blast providing coverage, and benefiting Gravity's Evasion decrease.

240 Spd with Naive hits 330 Spd, outpacing any + Spd Nature base 100s, with the rest put into Atk and SAtk. Life Orb is chosen as while Earthquake is able to hit every Pokémon while Gravity is active, there are some that resist it, and the ability to switch moves is vital.

Heracross@Choice Band
Guts
Adamant
4HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
- Close Combat
- Megahorn
- Stone Edge
- Pursuit

Standard Choice Band Heracross that takes advantage of Gravity increasing the accuracy of Megahorn and Stone Edge. It is also appreciated that Heracross resists Ground moves and has decent defenses.

Celebi@Leftovers
Natural Cure
Bold
240 HP/252 Def/16 Spd
- Psychic
- Leech Seed
- Recover
- Thunder Wave

Man, I love Celebi (in a totally non-furry way). This thing can stall the hell of any physical threat not named Heracross with admirable gusto, especially Earthquakes that my opponent will try to throw to take advantage of Gravity. With Leech Seed and Recover, the green time traveler is always on top health. Thunder Wave is an awesome move which cripples so much, while providing support for my sweepers as they are lacking in Spd. Psychic is pretty much there since there is almost an unsaid rule that you should have at least one attack move with the frequency of Taunt nowadays.

240 HP give Celebi 401 HP, allowing it to survive four Seismic Tosses. Def is pupmed up to max as this Celebi is meant to wall physical sweepers. 16 Spd gives 240 Spd, one point above the max Spd of Adamant Breloom, which Celebi is a superb counter to.

Dusknoir@Leftovers
Pressure
Careful
228 HP/64 Def/216 SDef
- Shadow Sneak
- Earthquake
- Pain Split
- Gravity

My second user of Gravity is one of the most potent mix wall in the game. The set has some usual moves, Shadow Sneak and Pain Split, as well as Gravity and Earthquake to further abuse the theme.

232 HP gives the Casper reject 288 HP, its maximum Leftovers number. As this Dusknoir is a special oriented wall most of the EVs are put into SDef, until it gets its last Nature bonus point. The rest are dumped into Def in case Dusknoir is ever needed to take some physical hits.

~~~~~~~~~~
Any suggestions that can help this team get better would be appreciated.
What's the nature on Celebi, Timid?
I'd replace Psychic on Celebi for something else, seeing that Dark-types like to carry Taunt frequently (yeah, there's other Pokemon that use Taunt and they're not Dark-type.. but still).. Grass Knot, Signal Beam and Earth Power could be options in its place.
..Hmm, then again. You probably don't want to stay in on Dark-types, but whatever XD
Celebi's nature is Bold. Anyway, I tried using a Bug move on Celebi before and it was less than stellar. The main reason why Psychic was chosen in place of a Grass move was because Grass types would always counter Celebi. (immune to Leech Seed and take NVE damage from Energy Ball and Grass Knot) In addtion, it give me an attack that anally rapes any Breloom that I happen to come across with, as well as those rare Liquid Ooze Pokémon like Swalot and Tentacruel.
Nice team! Being scarfed, though, there isn't much benefit to trapping things with Magma Storm; I would consider tailoring Heatran's set to further exploit that move. Otherwise, you're a bit Hail weak, but Hail teams aren't exactly F1 viable most of the time. I'm just picturing a scarfed glaceon blizzarding its way through your whole team, though; if Heatran and Jirachi get thrown out of the way, nothing can really deal with it. Dusknoir's 2hkoed and unless you can wear it down a bit, Earthquake won't do enough.
See also specs froslass for more damage.
Heatran with Scarf magma Storm is almost guaranteed to go first. if they don't switch, you trap them and can continue to attack or switch out to a counter while they cannot, or if they switch into something like Blissey, Blissey will be trapped thanks to Magma Storm while you have the ability to switch out to something like Heracross.
Have you tested this team? Although there isn't much else that can use Gravity that would be viable for F1 (Unless there's some stuff that gets it and I don't know about them), I wonder if 2 Gravity users are enough. At least they're both bulky, which I'm sure helps out.
Other than that, it's VERY interesting. I like seeing teams that are quite different from what you usually see.
One thing to say: Suck one, Smogon. >:D
not to be mean but this team has lots of holes in it i mean if you veresed a Dark team they would all fall down, and theres not a variety to it :/
...only 2 Pokémon on this team are weak to Dark, and both of them are bulky. Most mono-type teams are failure anyway.
well that being said i think there should be more of a variety to this team cause a basic Psychic team epic fails to almost everything
...WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT? There's only 2 Psychic Pokémon on this team. What do you mean there's not a variety? There's plenty of variety <_<;
Want to run that by me again? :/
This isn't a "basic Psychic team", so why are you even bringing it up?
...just where are you going with this?
=3 sorry im still on new years
That... doesn't even make sense...
Will: I haven't really had a chance to test this because I rarely go on Shoddy. In addition, most of the Wi-Fi battlers consider Garchomp Uber, which is perfect for my next statement: I might need a substitute for Garchomp during a battle with said people. I was considering Marowak can fill in just fine:
Marowak@Thick Club
Rock Head
Jolly
4/252 Atk/252 Spd
- Bonemerang
- Stone Edge
- Fire Punch
- Thunderpunch
*yawn* Jolly over Adamant to outspeed Cress and Cune. (I don't 2HKO Max Def Cune with Adamant Max Attack Bonemerang)
...you brought up a dead thread from 10 days ago just to ask that?
There's such a thing as PM <_<
