Howdy all, I'm Jason, aka Smeagol92055.
I'm a 29 year-old Pokémaniac and conspiracy theorist from San Diego; I teach graphic design and video game design when I'm not doing multiple playthroughs of the various Pokémon games. My favorite gen is gen 1, since Blue was my first experience with the Pokémon universe. I've played all the way from Blue through to White, only missing a couple of games here and there; my favorites are Blue, Fire Red/LeafGreen, Emerald, Gold/Silver, Pokémon Stadium, and Pokémon Snap.
As for my crazy conspiracy theories, I have quite a few of those... and most of them pertain to Pokémon. For instance, I'll give you guys one that I came up with last night:
Ash's Pikachu is obviously overpowered and can do things no other electric, heck, no other Pokémon can do.
Why is this? And why is it that Team Rocket want Pikachu so badly?
Well, I have a theory about that:
My theory is that Professor Oak wasn't always the benevolent researcher we know from the games; my guess is that at some point in the past, he worked for or with Giovanni on a Pokémon enhancement program, paving the way for the Mewtwo project. Probably Oak or Giovanni chose a weak, low-level 'mon as their test subject, such as common Pikachus from Viridian forest, Ratattas, Pidgeys, things like that. They experimented on them, trying to give it abilities that no regular 'mon could ever have, such as attacks that appear to be one type but actually manage to inflict multiple types of damage across the spectrum.
That could explain why Pikachu's power levels fluctuate so wildly from fight to fight, and why it is able to take on Dragon and even Ground types effectively.
Oak, eventually realizing that Giovanni was evil and was using the test subjects for his own nefarious ends, stole the Pikachu, storing it in a special Pokéball that could contain its massive (but unstable) power levels, and quietly hid away in the small town of Palette, maybe even changing his name from something else to Oak. He held on to the Pikachu for years until he got wind that Team Rocket had risen again, and did the only thing he could think of to make sure that the Pikachu wouldn't be taken back to Giovanni: give it to a young trainer who would always be on the move... a young trainer he had met before when he was a child: Ash Ketchum, when the young Oak had been propelled forward in time by 40 years by Celebii! Oak later realized that that was the same Pikachu and knew the only way to ensure that Team Rocket and Giovanni wouldn't get it was to give it to Ash, since he knew that Ash still had the Pikachu years after he was given it.
What do you guys think?
