I miss Batafuri and Pijon

Uh, Pijon already evolved. Remember the episode with all the Poppo and other Pijon in the forest, and the Onisuzume and Onidoriru were trying to beat them up? It's a big strong Pijotto now.


Maybe, but I somehow doubt it. Even if he does, it'll probably be for moral support or just a reunion episode and they won't do anything (except perhaps be threatened/stolen by Rocketto-dan).

Kasu-chan: Batafuri & Pijon are the rōmaji spelling (which I prefer) of Butterfree and Pidgeotto.

Kthleen: Now I remember Pijon evolved in the last episode it was together with Satoshi.
But he met Rapurasu once, so I thought he might meet those two once too.

by now, isn't it? Not that it's much of a spoiler, but, yanno, it might be upsetting. I dunno.
 
The latest opening even suggests that Butterfree is very much alive.
 
Not really. It could have been riddled with bullets in full view of everyone and still be in that intro.

The thing about Poketto Monsutaa is that the writers tend to disregard about old episoodozu. I think they want to keep in as many new viewers as possible, so the keep the shows "fresh." That's why we haven't seen Batafurii or Pijotto or Rapurasu or Aabokku or whoever.

Here's hoping the writers bring him back. Besides, plenty of Kanto references, along with a slightly darker, less episodic bent, could do wonders in luring people back into the fold. ^_^
 
Most likely no. Although I'd like to see Pijotto and Batafurii again, the anime doesn't seem to like referencing stuff from the past in Battle Frontier even though they're IN Kanto, like say, Gym Leaders?
 
I know. O_o; They like.... go through every town without noticing the Gym's or anything. Butterfree and Pidgeot HAVE to come back SOMEDAY... Hopefully.. I'm pretty sure Butterfree will seeing the new title theme...

Primape, Butterfree and Pidgeot were ALL in Glory Day for the last half of AG before the Frontier. They weren't coming back because of that and most certainly aren't coming back just because they were given a commemorative nod in the 10th Anniversary Opening.
