I am going to Anthrocon in Pittsburgh, in June and the head of panels said that if I want to show video clips longer than 59 seconds I have to get permission from the copyright holders. I tried contacting TPCi on the Pokemon website but so far no response...No attempt at all to answer me. My plan was to show one random episode, some movie highlights and some notable scenes like when Pikachu saves Satoshi from the Onisuzume in the first episode. Should I try to contact Nintendo directly instead, or call them? What do you guys think? Personally I know that the con will not get in trouble if I don't get permission, as I am not streaming any footage online nor am I selling anything and I believe my panel falls under fair use but they stand by their rules.
