I think Ditto should have transform as an ability rather than move.

To me Ditto seems so often condemned to the daycare center. It's a fun pokemon to mess around with in battle, but it's just not as fun to play in game as the competition. During that first turn which you need to transform the enemy gains critical time to do whatever it needs. I think the whole transform thing should be changed into an ability so that it happens right when you send the pokemon out. I doubt this would make it that much more appealing to battle against real people, but for play against NPCs it would make it a much more easy pokemon to enjoy and learn to like having in your team.

Did you know Ditto's Hidden Ability (Impostor) makes it Transform automatically upon entering battle?

Now if you want something that has its own moves and Transform, get a Smeargle to Sketch it off a Ditto. (Hint: You need to know Substitute first.)

It has an ability called Imposter which does just that.
