I was looking for a Kyogre over the GTS. I saw one with its sprite showing a Palkia,(hack!) then I tried to trade with him. Then, it said "Unfortunately, the trainer has already traded this Pokémon". Then after an hour I checked back again, and I saw it again! I tried again, then the message appeared again. How unfair. Bunch of laggy connections. Buy a new router.

REASON: LOOK AT MESSAGE BELOW
I WAS EXPECTING A GOOD ANSWER AND THATS WHAT I GET?

Example:

You saw a Lv.100 Deoxys up for trade. He wants a Lv.100 Lucario, which you have. You traded it, and a message like this showed up: "Unfortunately this Pokemon has been traded". Then, you checked back after an hour and you saw that same Deoxys again. Does that sound fair? Traded, but its still there?

You are just being mean. Why do you care, actually.

If you have nothing good to say, then don't post.
 
WTF, The pokemon was hacked, GTS was either trying to protect you, or YOUR pokemon was hacked.
 
I heard that if you nickname a Pokémon another Pokémon's name, it'll be listed as that Pokémon. (The named one.)

(Also, you should heed your own advice.)
 
...Dude, this happens all the time. Someone took the trade, but the person that deposited the original pokemon just hasn't come back to pick up the new one.

So someone put a Registeel up for trade and hasn't come back in a few months? I saw "J Good"'s traded Registeel on the GTS a couple months ago and I saw the exact same Registeel a few days ago.
 
A similar thing happened to me...I saw a lv 100 Mewtwo and it had leftovers...it was offered for a lv 40 Sableye which I had....I got the same message. I kept looking for more Mewtwos and that same pokemon was always there for like 2 weeks!

I tried to trade for that same Mewtwo! I didn't get it either by the way...
 
ditto, I had same mewtwo problem, I never got it either. This should really be fixed so that no matter what you name your pokemon, it should not conflict with another pokemon with same nickname.
 
Let's remember the email feature wasn't implemented until Platinum. Most people do other things than sit on the GTS all day waiting. Likely forgot about it.
 
Could be that the person put the Pokemon onto the GTS and then started a new save file, and was therefore unable to take it off the GTS.
 
Yeah i totally forgot about my Bronzong for weeks until I was going on the GTS in search for a Garchomp and remembered I had a trade set up.

Found a Giratina under the sprite Porygon-Z and the same message showed up. Oh man, I really want a hacked pokemon.
