So you get the idea that A and B would be fantastic together. They have everything in common, they'd be hot, whatever your reasons...

...but then you realize that, as much as you want to do so, you cannot figure out how it would work. Clash of personalties or anything like that. We've all done it, what're some of yours?

My big one is Eusine/Jirarudan. I want to ship this so *badly*, but since my prefered Eusine is the fanatical jackass freak from For Ho-Oh The Bells Toll, the second he identified Jirarudan as the lunatic who went after the Birds, he'd get out his sacrificin' knife. Or at least attempt to punch him. Either way it wouldn't end well.

I think Harley with pretty much anyone is too hard given that he's so self-absorbed and petty.
...which is funny because I want to ship him with Wendy, but she's as self-absorbed and petty as he is. Although they'd have a blast plotting revenge together.

I want to ship Jirarudan/Molly, but he's something like 20+ years older than her. In time it won't matter, but last we saw her, she was five. Maybe when she gets to be 30 and he's 50, but anything before that and I think her parents would have a fit, even if she *is* legal considerably before that. And with them, even friendship poses a problem given that her parents will probably be fiercely overprotective of her for several years, and once they find out what her new friend *did*...yeah.

I want to ship Cyrus with his commanders, but it would have to be one-sided because even if he *did* like them back, he'd never show it.
 
I want to ship Jessie and James. I DO ship Jessie and James. But it just. doesn't. work. with the way their personalities now lean on the show, and that makes me sad. :( It could totally have worked in the old days when J&J were more like wacky girl pals, but now James spends all his time wearing men's clothes and having his balls stomped on by Jessie.
 
I rather liked your Jirarudan/Eusine fic, Blackjack. But I will totally and completely agree with Jo-Jo. While I'd love to write some Rocketshipping, it's not happening for me.

Um, same goes for Morty/Eusine, you saw how my attempts at that turned out.

Frankly, sometimes I wonder how on earth I got Championshipping. I can see it in anime-verse, and well, with manga-verse I use the fact that Red is awesome without special powers and isn't all righteous indignation. Yes...

Though, I'd be really, REALLY interested in shipping Paul with Yellow, Misty, or Brock, just to see how that would hang.
 
I want to ship Ash with anyone. But it's Ash. Hardwood floors see more action than he ever will by the time he dies. The latter also applies to Brock, I suppose, but for totally different reasons. XP

Also for some reason want an anime Brendan to come around and sweep May off her feet, but I don't think Drew would approve. ^^;

I agree with that last part, but Kojiro didn't really cross dress all that much, and they really only seemed like wacky girl pals in the dub. It's mainly contests that turn Musashi into a bitch. Unfortunately, that's been going on for so long now that I don't think that'll be changing anytime soon.

I really agree with this one. In fact, there's a few pairings from other anime that I wish I could ship, but the age difference is too great. It's so annoying when writers tease us like that.

I thought Pikachu/Mimiroru was cute at first, but since Pikachu just isn't interested it kinda lost its charm. There doesn't seem to be as much of that in the show lately, so I'm wondering if the writers are tired of it as well.
 
Oh dear.. about Cyrus. You're too right. But it's hard to keep my hands off of him and Cynthia –– especially after Platinum.

Eh, uh, as much as I love Hoenn Battle Frontier, it is really hard to seem them with anyone. Even Lucy and Brock (I mean ... she is too far out of his league to begin with :/). Tucker is just like Harley, he's a narcissist. Spenser would have a hard time finding a ship, which is pretty unfair. Greta seems too involved in her work and Anabel fell in love with the most oblivious turd in the Pokeverse. But Brandon and Noland are tricky .. they both seem like loners.
 
One is too into inventions and the other into archaeology.

Why would Spenser be unfair? I only see sick pairings with him.

He seems to care about things besides himself and his pokemon though. He wants to keep his fans happy (which yes I know brings him more adoration, but he sees it as something he has to work at rather than anything that comes naturally).

I notice that older characters are hardly shipped, besides Professor Oak perhaps, although I'm not aware of Spenser's shippings at the moment. It's just hard to think of anybody to put him with, so to me, he's best left alone.

First things first: I used to love Ikarishipping. I thought it was perfect. And awesomely great.
Then I actually saw the characters in action. Before they were even in the same scenes, I had run to the bathroom.
Now I can't see them happening for any reason whatsoever. Even if the writers thought 'why the hell not', they'd have to be even more high then at any other point in the series, which is saying a LOT.

Rocketshipping was stabbed by the writers, burned slowly, and then laughed at.
I love it to even more pieces then it was torn into, but the chances of the anime helping me out now = zero. In fact, it's pretty much canon at this point that there was never any intention to pair them up. I'm pretty pissed, but it's a hard truth that I need to learn to live with.

I don't need to mention Ash, because everyone's said it already. And the sad thing is, Misty seems really and truly over him, so bye-bye Pokeshipping.

I know that Contestshipping was canon, and it had so much promise after they both "left for Johto"...... but then May showed up for the Wallace Cup, which ruined a lot of stuff for me. A lot. I boycotted that arc at first because it ruined Contestshipping. Drew's 'special cameo' also wasn't all that special. Like, at ALL.

I think that my other ships were very nearly mostly crack anyway, so not as much love lost there.
 
First i think Pearlshipping is one that i will never like. i mean i CANNOT see the two kissing or even yet holding hands. and the age difference is too big to figure out. and i see Dawn as Ash's little sister.

Second would have to be rocketshipping. i mean in Kanto they showed some good hints but now its like...dead. nothing new or "Shippy". all i see is team rocket flying into the sky nearly every episode for the last 10 years.

And my thrid would be contestshipping. im not saying this becoz im a advanceshipper. it just with Drew's personaltiy i just can't see him with May who has a happy personaltiy and i think would go better with someone nicer.

And i think Pokeshiping as well. i don't see Misty with Ash. i can imagine Ash saying he likes her and stuff but i can imagine Misty doing the same. i see Misty as the meaniest out of her, May and Dawn.

Hold up folks, some of you aren't getting the point of this thread. The topic is 'ships you are INTERESTED in, except you can't see HOW it would ever get off the ground and start in the first place, or have obvious traits about them that would logically render the couple apart before they even start.

For example: I'm deadly interested in Hollowshipping (Brock/Paul). There was a taste of it in the Hearthome Tag Team competition, and I think they would make an awesome overall couple. ...Eh, how they would get together when Paul is a git and completely independant, possibly even rejecting anyone accosiated with Ash, I've no idea. But it would still be awesome.

This is not a thread to go off lightly on the 'ships you don't like, or what you used to 'ship and can't anymore (this already has a thread, obviously titled too). Those have nothing to do with this topic.

You know, I think all ships in Pokemon I'd say I can't because it's Pokemon. Yes, as vague as that sounds.
