I would lose all of my great pokemon >.> I have over 30 level 100's I traded from my fire red plus the ones I got on my platinum game. It's boring and I guess I just want to restart.

Is there anything I can do? I only have 1 ds and 1 ds pokemon game

true, I was thinking of that but no one I really trust has DPPT

Well I actually had the same urge yesterday. My game's not getting boring, actually I can still always find something to do, but I just had the urge to start a new game. So I went out to Gamestop and bought Pearl. Pearl will now be my mess around game, while Platinum is my serious game.

I'm actually thinking of buying another copy of Platinum just so I could replay the game whenever I feel like it... >>;

I have two copies of Platinum - one for competitive breeding/battling/shiny collecting and stuff... And one for playing the storyline. ;P

But then, I have a job and can afford to buy things.

Hmm... I get what you feel. I sometimes also get the urge to do a new game on my Pokemon games sometimes, especially when you've already done the main quest and all the side quests.

It looks like the best way for you to not lose those Pokemon, just like what everyone also said here, is to unfortunately transfer to another game first, so it looks like you'll need someone trustworthy there.

Now, since you don't have anyone in your area, you can try it with someone here in the forums. It goes without saying though, that that poses a bigger risk of someone running off with your Pokemon, so I suppose that would just be best done as a last resort.

I am exactly the same!! I got on copy on release day for "completion" and holding all my Pokemon and for the Platinum Events. And then I traded 3 old games in the other day to get a second copy, for re-playing the story, though I have downloaded the Secret Key for it too.

Their are other ways of backing up saves, give google a search... I do wish that we could have multiple saves on Pokémon Games though...

You *only* have Platinum? You'd not only have to find a friend/relative you can trust, but one who has a bunch of spare pokemon that they can do without. (Pastoria Marsh comes to mind as a great place for getting new pokemon to be 'shanghaied' off to your condemned save file.)

Also, don't forget to have the pokemon that you're shipping off from the to-be-abandoned file hold any one-time items that you don't want to go without for whichever save game you plan to be your definitive one(certain evolution items, one-time TMs, etc.) You never know when that extra copy of Steath Rock or Flash Cannon might come in handy, not to mention the occasional Up-Grade/Dubious Disc/Reaper Cloth.
