And the Shellder bites the tail of Slowpoke, resulting in evolution, who gets to keep the Slowbro?

The Slowpoke owner, or the Shellder owner?

Slowpoke's Evolution technique is a myth created by Sheldertologist. If a Shelder Uses Clamp on Slowpoke it just gets hurt, slowpoke only evolve through hard work or items, not pokemon. The dream ends for your shelder stealing ambitions.

...Dude. That's a good question. o_O

Maybe the trainers would come to an agreement before the two Pokémon start battle. Or maybe they'd battle two other Pokémon to determine the owner. Or maybe they'd take it to court. (Maybe they have laws concerning this type of thing?)

I saw Professor Westwood V's Slowpoke evolve from Jesse's Shellder.

You're saying I didn't?
:argue:

He's talking about the world, not the game.

I'd say give it to the Slowpoke's trainer. Or don't let it happen.

Even in the anime, has this ever happened after that one time in Kanto?

I question the logic involved here... If Slowpoke had enough experience to evolve and tried to, i might not unless a Shellder bites its tail???? There's something they're not telling us. There has to be a type of Slowbro with no Shellder. Who says there can't be? I think there HAS to be.

And if they were going to have a battle, the opposing trainer should know "My Shellder knows Clamp" or "My Slowpoke is really experienced" so they could avoid it.

It would only happen if the shelder bit the slowpokes tail. If you see in the anime, (can't remember what episode) but at the end of the episode the slowpoke put its tail in water and a shellder latched on and it became a slowbro. Experience pointd don't count at all in anime, only in games for games purposes, like stats.

What about Mantyke? You have to wonder, if they approach its evolution in the anime, will they flash back to Westwood, or will he be forgotten?

When Jessie's Shellder succeeded in evolving Westwood's Slowpoke, Westwood kept Slowbro and left Jessie with zilch. And they were thwarted in their attempts to claim the Slowbro. So I'd say the Slowpoke trainer gets to keep the Slowbro. Of course, this particular instance could've been different because the writers didn't want Team Rocket to actually get a powerful Pokemon.

Now, suppose two trainers battled their Metang, and they fused together and evolved. Who gets to keep Metagross?

Hmm, I'd flip for it. Then, while the other guy was distracted by the coin, I'd punch him and steal the pokemon.

Or, we'd see which Pokeball accepts the pokemon.

I'm guessing that the Shellder has the intelligence to not latch on to the tail of it's opponent, because that would just make said foe stronger...
