If Ash wins the leauge like many people are speculating and the show ends at D/P season which character would you like to star in a spin off series? I'd like Dawn to have her own show. What do you think?

Ugh, can't we keep the usual doomsaying till the end of the series like normal? Do we really need to have this same tired song and dance the whole time now?

The series wont end, it's a cash cow. God knows why so many people are so keen to see it end - especially now that it's actually getting really good.

They're more likely to start fresh with the 5th gen protagonists from whatever the next games are.

EDIT: I think a lot of you are overestimating Dawn's importance of the series. She's meant to be the co-star of D/P, not the co-star of the series in general.

I wouldn't be surprised to see her dropped like May was once we enter the 5th gen.

IF the show doesn't end I'm happy I'm an Ash fan so I'd be good with him continuing the series after he wins. I'm with you Scott I'm not suprised if they drop her like May, sure she's my favorite girl thus far but they droped May and she was a fan favorite. But I'm used to it.

Has she committed the rest of her life to voicing him? I do wonder what will happen if she ever decides to quit.

I'm not sure how old she is but I'm sure she signed onto a life time contract.

I'd like to see ash and misty be together. If the series ends. But it probably won't the anime completents the games, and the games the anime. So until there no more games...

how's age relevant for a seiyuu (especially a supposed middle-aged one)? I believe Masako Nozawa started voicing Goku when she was close to her 50s, and 20 years later, I think she's still portraying him in a number of video games and stuff that's been released years after the franchise ended. She's also reprised her role as Dukemon twice, even though the latter two roles are clearly different from the first one (Digimon having different continuities and all).

But I guess since it pays her bills, she's happy.

Some voice actors get attached to the characters they play and enjoy playing that character. Maybe that's what happened to her.
