The Title pretty much sums it up. Will GSDS have a BF or not? Do you want one?

Well, I posted no when I should have said yes, but only if Crystal was remade too, then a battle frontier would be in and the first two would be like D/P or R/S with a battle tower only.

I would hope so. It gives you something to do after you beat the Elite Four and stuff. The battle frontier is one of my favorite things about the games recently, and I hope they would include it in G/S remakes as well.

Another one? Only if they could do as good a job as they did with Platinum.
Otherwise, I'd prefer it if they used that space to go to another full region not on the DS like Kanto.

Don't you think that in the more likely event that Crystal was not remade, the Gold and Silver remakes would be free to have a Battle Frontier right off the bat?

The data for the Battle Frontier takes up very little space (likewise for Contests, for that matter).

Maybe, but it has not happened that way before, don't see why it would change now R/S/E D/P/Pt worked this way, so I don't see why Crystal would not be remade too with extra features after it is seen how well or not a possible GS remake would do, like an extended battle frontier. I was surprised that D/P when first got them when they were released, did not have a battle frontier straight away, but we had to wait for Platium for that.

It's my suspicion that the reason the Sinnoh BF has only five events is just so that Johto CAN have it's own Battle Frontier as well, featuring a different four events (and it's own Tower, of course).

Oh? Even better.
I know it'd be awesome if they did both a BF and traveling to another region, even if it's just part of it.

Would you be saying that in a way that with Sinnohs 4 and Johtos other 4 along with the battle tower a season for the Battle frontier would be both combined? Cause I could buy that. And it would be much better if the frontier started to be much more mainstream then a 3rd game add on.

It probably will...the Battle Fronteir seems to be big right now, even though I don't really want one..

I would like battle fronteir in GS remakes but I have my doubts.

I agree about battle frontier only appearing in the third version so far but remember animations were third version only originally too (GS no sprite animation. Crystal Sprite animation. RS no sprite animation. Emerald sprite animation. Now they're in DP and Platinum.)

That said I can't really see a Crystal remake. LG and FR never got a third version and they were remakes of 1st gen. So if a battle fronteir were to happen it's be GS or not at all as far as I'm concerned. If Crystal were remade in addition to GS I think I'll be ranting about how 1st gen should be treated to a third version aswell.lol

For me personally I can't see a battle fronteir in GS for a different reason. They might go with something else. LG and FR had a trainer tower that worked completely different to the battle tower in RS. So I can see GS getting something like that or GS gets Crystals battle tower. One or the other.

I agree with Power of the Pika. I think they'll try to freshen things up a bit.

If I can ring up the confidence to be a Pokémon fan again for g/s/c, I LOVE Johto, mind you, and, I never really got to DO the Battle Frountier much...xDDD;;

Of course I hope they bring it in to these games. o.o^^XD:)

Why would this be? If remakes were happening, it be a long time between Platinum and the remake and removing features just to add them to a game not coming for a long time after, just isn't a good idea, makes the current game less pleasing to buy that way.

The fact that Platinum only has five facilities when Emerald had seven, makes the former game less worthwhile with or without remakes being released down the road. It would at least be nice if in retrospect the limited number somehow made sense.

I have not played Emerald, were the five Battle Frontier places in Platinum, any better than Emeralds 7?

Well they were certainly a bit easier and more Gimmicky. Emerald had the factory so and the tower so only 3 are more gimmicky. I mean emerald had:

The battle pyramid. If you got the gold symbol for that you are some kind of Imba player. I mean you had to go through all these floors and random trainer battls and random wild battles. Crazy stuff if you got to the brain.

The battle tube with random rooms and all these bad stuff. You had to have luck on your side for this.

Then we have the dome. A tournament of sorts that was pretty sweet. Nothing like it.

Then the Arena with a 3 turn battle where they judge you for performance.

Last is the palace. I had a tough time with this. The Pokemon act on their own and you never know what they do.

Platinum was based on luck and such. I got a lot of the stamps with ease.

Well, Platinums Frontier meant you have to understand typing and the right pokemon to use for battling and that you have to know more about understanding battles. The place where you rent pokemon for battling defiantly shows that as you can't just use any pokemon..

The Battle hall shows you that you not only have to have a good pokemon, but good moves too so you can not only take out pokemon of various types, but then you get to Argentina who has different pokemon that may like what you have been beating before.

The problem I see is that people are thinking that "oh if we get GSDS there's gonna be just a Battle Tower". Remember, in Gold and Silver, THERE WAS NO BATTLE TOWER. That didn't come until Crystal, became standard with RS, and now the Frontier's becoming the standard.

I very much hope that GSDS has its own Battle Frontier, even with five facilities (including the Battle Tower) just off of Route 40. They'd have enough room, even with the space Kanto and Johto together take up (come on guys, the area's probably LESS than that of all of Sinnoh, and it's not like DPPt's near the space limit!).

Sure, Nintendo could be assholes and decide to "stay faithful" to the original GS and not include a Battle Tower, even (since there was none in Kanto for FRLG), but GSDS is coming AFTER Platinum, not before, as FRLG had the opportunity for. FRLG was a cooldown period between EPIC BATTLE YEAH! and SEVEN EPIC BATTLES YEAH!. This time, we got EPIC BATTLE YEAH! followed by FIVE EPIC BATTLES YEAH!, so we're pumped up for MORE. They know this just as much as we do.

Exactly. But wasn't the battle tower in the Sevii Islands or am I jusr remembering things wrong? And Kanto technically did not even have the tower. So technically they will surely keep the tower and if they really want make a frontier. I would love though if its on Cianwood Island.
