In Platinum it kidnapped Cyrus for controlling Dialga and Palkia, but I feel like it would be worse in the anime.

Huh... no? I don't see that happening in the games, let alone in the anime. If all, the anime would actually diminish the matter and make it more "child friendly" rather than making it worse.
