if leaf was in pokemon hgss?

we all know she was left out. but what do you think her role would have been if she was in pokemon heart gold and soulsilver? side quest, replace red if player chose female choice, battling her by activating an event? what do you think?
 
Our final battle in the Sevii islands after we defeated the 7 frontier brains of each island.
 
I reckon she should of been put in as a cross reference to FRLG. Make it so she's a cameo.
 
Either she and Red would take turns being the Mt. Silver opponent (with the exact same Pokemon at the exact same levels with maybe opposite genders), or she's someone with a team resembling a counterpart to Red's (Clefairy/Jigglypuff, Johto/Hoenn starters, Snorlax and Lapras) and is located at either the Trainer House or the also excluded Sevii Islands.
 
She could've been a cameo. She'd say something like, "I wanna be a great Trainer! I know a boy who's really good." But if she'd been included, it probably wouldn't be too big of a role.
 
If she were in, the Sevii's could've been to. She could have a very nice plot there. Maybe even have her own Gym type thing. And by beating her...you can.... uh...

Here an idea! She could give you clothes like Red's and her's!

If you are a boy:
Hey <player>! I have this outfit that I think you might like! Its the clothes that a trainer from Kanto wore before he went on his long journey!

If you are girl:
Hey <player>! I was thinking, why don't I give you a set of my clothes? It would be cool! We'll be like sisters!
 
If she was in the game, I don't think she would replace Red if you played as the female. Since GSC already confirmed Red being the canon protagonist. Yeah, they didn't co-existed in the original, but GF could of always pulled a Megaman. They COULD take turns though.

If the Sevii Islands were in, I think she would be a tag partner for a Special Quest there. If not, make her the Frontier Brain of the Battle Tower with her Special counterpart's team. Or even a simple cameo ala Steven telling you that Mewtwo is in Cerulean Cave or something about the Legendary birds.

Hell, if that's too much, couldn't they at least give a random Ace Trainer in Kanto Blue's team with the name Blue/Leaf?

If they ever make a third version to HGSS, I hope she is in. *shot*
 
Um, I guess I kinda hoped to meet her in the Viridian gym as a Trainer.
 
She could've been Red's twin sister or something. Perhaps she'd be hanging out in Red's room?

"Who are you? ... ... ... ... ...oh, you're <player>? Nice to meet you. Wow, that's quite a collection of badges you have there. You might even be good enough to beat my brother!"
 
I like the sibling thing. I would imagine Leaf as a Gym Leader in training or she becomes a Contest or Pokéthlon coordinator. But they should of not left her out. It was not right. But many consider Leaf just a female version of Red not a different person. Plus she was not the rival or helping person in FRLG. And Vice-versa with Red. They just did not exist.

No contests. I've always thought Leaf was the canon protagonist now, I can't think of the boys as being the canon ones.

They should have at least made her appear in overworld form..

I think RGBYFRLG and GSCHGSS have the boys as their canon protagonists (since that was all they had originally), while RSE and DPPt have the girls (to even things out).

But then, that's just my opinion.

I have to wonder why they left Leaf out to begin with. She's a very important addition to the franchise, if you ask me.

Makes sense. If you play as May, you get some extra lines that you don't as Brendan, and..Well, they promoted Dawn a lot, for the games.

They probably wanted to stay "true" to GSC..They could have retconned her, like they did with mostly everything else. In the originals, Kris didn't exist if you played as Gold, and vice versa. In HGSS, they do. They could have done the same for Leaf, and Red.

They probably just hate Leaf.

Leaf's just Red born as a girl.

I would have had Leaf show up if Kotone was chosen as the protagonist.

Not neccesarily, the only reason why Red is the canon protagonist is because he is the first player character and RGBY had sequels that confirmed he was before Leaf/Blue was introduced. If Leaf/Blue debuted in the originals as planned, things might of been different.

The GSC series introduced the first female character, while Hibiki is just some other male playable character, so if anyone were to be the canon protagonist from GSCHGSS, it'd be Kotone IMO (even if they are seperate characters, the GSC series introduced the female protagonist first; she's part of it and she's the female player character of the remakes, ala playing the same role; having the exact same purpose in the story. Not to mention she's still her countepart.)

Don't know about RSE and DPPt. At least this time around, the non-canon protagonist would be able to show up in the story. (Again, I still think GF could of pulled a Megaman though.)

I wouldve loved to see a double battle between red and leaf against you and hibiki/kotone or even red and gary vs you and silver
 
I wouldn't have wanted her to just take Red's place if you played as Kotone. Then I'd never get to see her, since I'm a guy.
I think it would be hard to include her otherwise, though. I mean, Red never talks. Should Leaf talk, seeing as she played the same role? I can't imagine her as just an NPC who says "..." all the time.
I think the Sevii Islands idea was one of the best. After all, both she and the islands were introduced at the same time. I also like the idea of her as a tag battle partner-- I can even imagine her with a non-speaking role in such a situation. If that were the case, She would probably have Pokemon like Ivysaur, Wartortle, and Charmeleon. That way, she could be established as a separate character from Red: not the champion (well, former champion), maybe instead the one who finished off Team Rocket in the Sevii Islands.
