If Pokemon could fuse together..

Hello fellow Pokemon fans! So I was thinking about the future of Pokemon games, and while we can always expect to see new Pokemon down the line, new mega forms, and the possibility of new types, I was also thinking what if Pokemon could even fuse together?!

Well this has already happened if you think about it. Kyurem can fuse with Zekrom or Reshiram with DNA Splicers, but what if more Pokemon could fuse together? Do you think that fusions could have a place in the distant future of Pokemon or do you prefer that fusions end with Kyurem?

And if you would like to see new fusions like me, then what Pokemon would you like to see fusions made for? What would their abilities, types, and stats be? What moves would they have, and what they would look like? I'm interested to know other people's thoughts. :)

Interesting idea, I wouldn't mind seeing fusions again. Though I would like to see it with only legendary Pokemon imo. As for what kind of Pokemon fusions I would like to see, well a Ho-Oh and Lugia fusion would be pretty cool, same with the other three legendary birds. I'm not sure what it's abilities and stats would be, but for typing maybe Psychic/Fire or just Flying. Not really creative with stuff like this lol.

Speaking of that, I have seen fan work of a Lugia and Ho-Oh fusion:

Hm... I don't see fusion turning into a feature. At best can happen with specific legendaries Pokemons, or maybe breed two specific pokemonss and create another, something like that...

As for what kind of Pokemon fusions I would like to see, well a Ho-Oh and Lugia fusion would be pretty cool, same with the other three legendary birds. I'm not sure what it's abilities and stats would be, but for typing maybe Psychic/Fire or just Flying. Not really creative with stuff like this lol.

I have always felt that Fearow and Jolteon would be a good way to introduce this by having them be the creation of Zapdos, due to the spiky design of Jolteon and Fearow's Facial expression, it may seem pretty far fetched, but I feel like those 2 would seem right to fuse.

I'd be for it if it worked similarly to Generation I's Pokémon merge glitch, where you can temporarily give one Pokémon the attributes of another and end up with stuff like a Magikarp with Fire Blast.

It happened twice already.

... or if I recalled correctly, the third happened not long before. Just a few months back, when the "Giant Dragonic Robot Z" made its official appearance.

I kind of have a feeling that we are not talking Pokemon nor Digimon, but Evangelion

Well to be fair, the Living Giant Mecha trope fits in there. Quite an interesting route it goes toward.

Isn't a Mantyke evolving with a Remoraid technically a fusion? Also, the concept that Shellder+Slowpoke=Slowbro

It doesn't have to be super mechanic or draconic to be a fusion. Basically, just put two mons together, and see what happens?

I've talked about this a couple times... I'd like to see what they'd do if they go with it. I do hope it's with Pokemon that're related to each other in some way.

Raichu + Persian = Electric/Normal
Ninetales + Arcanine = Fire
Vaporeon + Jolteon + Flareon = Water/Electric/Fire
Omastar + Kabutops = Rock/Water
Articuno + Zapdos + Moltres = Ice/Electric/Fire (though.. we've already seen this)
Espeon + Umbreon = Psychic/Dark
Mewtwo + Genesect = Psychic/Bug/Steel

Those're just some examples.

Didn't we already see this with Venustoise? And Zapmolcuno? Not to mention those Pokémon that supposedly evolve by fusing together, like three Digletts becoming Dugtrio, or two Koffings becoming Weezing. And, of course, Slowpoke + Shellder = Slowbro/Slowking.

Or, if I had to come up with something original..."I activate Polymerization, fusing Charizard and Krookodile to create...Charodile!"

It'd be funny to see something like two Beldums becoming attached to a Magnemite's magnets, leading to a Magnezone/Metagross fusion.

I'd like to see it used in evolution methods like Slowpoke/Shellder fusion, 3 Magnemite/Diglett together, or Mantyke/Remoraid.
The 2 -> 7 transition needed for Binacle -> Barbaracle is a bit hard to implement, I guess.
2 Beldum = Metang and 2 Metang = Metagross is also interesting.
I would also like to get the original dragon that is Black Kyurem + Reshiram or White Kyurem + Zekrom, but I doubt we'll ever get it now that Gen 5 is long over.
