The movies were all excellent in story quality, and I can say that every movie had been enjoyable and educational in some way.

If the movies were to made into a TV series, would the fun stay?

Take the first movie for instance. Mewtwo Strikes Back - if it were made into a TV series, they'd have one episode for the creation of Mewtwo, one episode for Giovanni trying to gain profit from Mewtwo, one episode where Mewtwo sends out invitations to strong trainers....

Would it contain the thrills or give more? Or would it be the worst choice?

Actually, I'd like them if they were story arcs in the TV series themselves.

Mewtwo Strikes Back would probably be a good TV series, because then it would be long enough for details left out, like that which is included in the Radio/CD drama based on this movie. You would see Mewtwo attack Pokemon and their trainers as he did in the drama. There would be a lot of action. You would also get the chance to see Mewtwo's conversation with Ai in more detail, how Ai teaches him to count, as she does in the drama. I think there is a manga based on this movie, but I'm not sure what's included in there. I think most Pokemon movies could be made into TV series.

However, I'm afraid that to put regular episodes between "movie" episodes could ruin the excitement, depending on what episodes these are. I know some episodes take place during the first movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back. If those are bad filler episodes put in the movie story, they would ruin the flow of the story.

I think what made the Movies so brilliant was that they were movies. True, some could have good attempts on running as a full set of episodes, but others can't. They were to entertain in a short burst over and hour+ period. Some of the magic could be lost trying to lengthen it into a series of episodes 25 minutes long, and fillers, a few bland fillers would occur, as with episodes we need a break from all the action once in while to develop on things one may view as tedious or a random fillers to try and "refresh" us...

Also, some basic impactual elements in the Movies are from the Anime....

I think it would add too much filler if it was an entire series, yes. Just as a multi part story arc, then yes. I might also agree that Mewtwo had the most potential, since it was woven into the plot of the first saga in the first place. I kinda find it unfortunate that we haven't had a villain plot be that central, at least not until TG's plot in DP. (Well, we would've had another, but we all know that story) In fact, I may even say that the villian plots are some of the closest things we get to having a movie scale adventure in the regular anime, although that is mostly in the perspective of the aforementioned TG plot. TM and TA, while they were not well elaborated upon, they at least tried to give us a big climax, even if it was all done at once. TR haven't had something as involved as Mewtwo since. The two plots of Johto, while they are interesting, are more minor in scale, I feel.

To be honest I've thought about this a number of times. The movies are generally where all the big action and Ash saving the world stuff comes from, things we rarely see in the regular series.

The movies could have been 3-4 part arcs in the regular show instead, and not only would this give us a big story arc to watch each year, but they'd essentially replace 3-4 fillers and give us some action between the main events.

Just think of what they're doing with the Kami trio eps now, imagine if that was a movie?

My only gripe is the animation would be much worse and it wouldn't be movie quality.
