What games would you have bought? I'd get Earthbound 64(DD), some of the Mario Artist series, and Pokemon RPG.

Earthbound 64 probably could have survived on cart media unless they wanted to make it multi disc anyway. Stadium was originally slated to be 64DD too, but most of the games got cart releases instead.

Nintendo made the mistake of making the discs only 512megabits (NOT megabites) anyway, and by the end of the lifespan, you had games like Stadium 2 on 512mbit carts.

As for a console RPG, we ended up getting it years later in the form of Colo/XD.

For one thing, Earthbound 64 would have been released, whether it would have come to the states, however, is a different question, as we ALL know what happened with Mother 3 (release the EarthBound games on the 3DS damnit!)

Licensing issues.

Apparently in Japan they aren't as strict about foreign music.
