If the show were to make a drastic turn!

If the show were to drastically change, how should it?

If the show were to make a drastic turn, and go a completely different direction than the usual, what should it be. We all know the writers love to promote games, and we all know that Ash has stayed 10 for years. We also know that the main character girls tend to get replaced, and Ash has yet to be a Champion.

If the show were to change drastically one day, how should it. Should there be a spinoff series, while the one with Ash ends? Should anything of the contrary happen to the above paragraph?

Change is good, but sometimes it could be bad, so the choice is up to the writers, but if it were up to you, how should the show go years from now.

No it shouldn't and no it won't. If it's not broke, they aren't going to fix it.

I like the idea of getting the new main cast, and making Ash and Dawn recurring rivals for new characters.

Also I wouldn't mind idea of pernament girl character, this is currently most possible drastical change.

More episodes like the togepi/whiscash/giantclaydoll-fillers.
Hey, if "more sad moments" is a drastic turn, more braindead yet funny episodes are drastic as well.

other than that I'd like Satoshi's storyline to end in some way sooner or later. While I know that this'll probably never happen I'd still like to see it. Closure is always a nice and fullfilling thing.

Oh, and of course more chronical-episodes with Haruka,Kenji or Kasumi as well as Satoshi's old Pokémon who aren't bulbasaur.

It ain't going to change. Though if Dawn leaves, I would not mind a new Chronicles season.

There's lots of things I'd like to see on that list. I want Ash to age (there's a small chance he will) I'd like to see a permanent female (the return of an old one, which sadly, seems very unlikely)

I do think that there's a chance we might get to see some more episode of Chronicles. There's a lot of material to work with this time (Misty/May/Dawn/Max) It would be much more worthwhile than it was when Misty was the only real character anyone cared about seeing again. So fingers crossed for that.

I don't think they'll change anything in the anime. They'll continue on bringing in new females every four years, and Ash will continue leaving Pokemon at Oak's lab.

I do hope the characters get a bit older though.

They'd get rid of Ash Ketchum, Dawn, and Brock, and Misty, Tracey and Casey would be battling across the regions.

Or, they would stop after Ash Ketchum in DPP and the focus on May's journey's through Johto.

i'd love to see the latter <3 owo;

You know I pick "Misty/May return and/or Dawn stays forever" (due to the "or Dawn stays forever" part). But as revolutionary as having a permanent main girl character would be, I don't think it's that drastic, if drastic at all. She and Piplup have been hyped a lot- all they have to do now is not leave...

EDIT: Then again, looking at the list, many of those things don't seem drastic to me...

There should be more blood! >8D Okay, not much, but enough to give a dramatic effect in important scenes. I haven't read PokeSpe much, but some panels seem really effective as the characters get injured when shit gets real.

That's not enough blood, dammit.

If this was to happen (and it's unlikely), Ash would become older, and would leave the show. A new series would start up, involving a newer one. Chronicles may air, though.

You know what would be a really good drastic change would be to air multiple shows at the same time. Like you can have a series where it focuses on Ash's journey and then have a permanent Chronicles type series where a new protagonist could have his own journey.

If things were more darmatic, the show wouldn't be looked at as just a thing for kids. I like this angle they did with Infernape being abused & then saved. If there were more dark toned elements in the anime, imagine how much more focused people would be into the show.

Less promotion/advertisement for the games and more concentration as a individual Anime rather than a 20 minute Ad. Ash not going anywhere until he actually finishes his fucking storyline.

If the show isn't broke, there's no need to fix it.

But I wouldn't mind minor changes to the series. I'd even accept a few drastic changes to the anime.

-I'd like to see a time skip for Ash's adventures in Isshu.
-I'd like Dawn to stay as a permanent member of the main cast. Maybe even make Misty and/or May recurring rivals.
-Maybe some more intense battles like the last battle that Ash and Paul had.

And I'm probably in a minority here, but I wouldn't mind one or two implications of death throughout a saga. I don't want it to be so obvious that it make the kiddies cry, but subtle enough that us older fans can get the hint.

So yeah. I like the show as it is, but a few minor changes couldn't hurt.

-Pokemon characters aren't going to die. It's just not one of those anime. And really, with the whole J may be dead thing that wasn't like some super huge thing, people just kinda accepted it. It wouldn't be a drastic turn.
-The trio are in too deep to ever become truly evil. As a whole though, the organization still seems to have quite malicious intent.
-More disobedient pokemon wouldn't be a twist really, it would just get annoying by having more pokemon with the same douchey personality.
-Old girls aren't going to come back with Ash. Dawn won't stay. Just won't happen.
-And the anime is going to keep being promotion. That's just how this anime works since it's based on the game.

The only thing really I'd wouldn't mind seeing is the return of hosos. We were all really hoping for those back with the end of AG to see May going through Johto. Shame it never happened, which is what makes me think it isn't going to happen again.

The idea of death in Pokemon is mostly reserved for movies (Celebi, Darkrai, Arceus, Latios, etc.) But you're right, it would make the show seem more "real" in a way for the kids.

Now that you brought that up, I wouldn't want the whole trio to be evil. But I would like it if one of the characters traveling with Ash weresome undercover spy for an evil team. It'd be a huge plot twist. I know it won't happen unless it was in a movie, but IMO, it'd be pretty darn cool.

-Old girls aren't going to come back with Ash. Dawn won't stay. Just won't happen.

She might. Dawn hasn't left yet and we have no confirmation on whether or not she'll stay.

I'd like for a happy medium.

I don't think violence, aging up, or the like is needed, but I would like a bit more solid storyline. DP gave us a bit more than usual, but I still would like to see some more depth.

Out of any of the changes they should make, it should be keeping the girl and switching the guy with Brock. Why can't that happen? Dawn can remain the eye candy for the series, the fifth Generation boy can show off fifth Generation stuff along with of course Ash himself.
