If you could add one thing to Bulbagarden...

What would it be?

I'm looking for anything, however big or small, outlandish or totally realistic, a project that would take a half hour or half a year. I just want ideas. What is this place lacking, do you think? Describe in as much detail as possible--whatever your heart desires. Nothing is too big, small, weird, or plain, or whatever.

lmfao

I'd add members that are determined to make this place better than SPP.

Come on Misty, give that guy a break on his birthday, please.

And I don't see why Bulbagarden has to better then something, thats the problem with the Pokemon Fandom, everyone tries to outdo each other.

Since when did I say that the goal was to outdo anyone? I'm just trying to cater to the whims of the members.

This isn't a competition to be better than anyone, it's a competition (with ourselves) to make this place the most user-friendly and useful it can be to its members.

I was referring to Paperfairy's post, should of made that clearer.

This place is already like the friendliest place on the net. SPP is full of assholes, as well as piforums.

Word.

BMG has so much potential, and it hurts to see that none of it is really being used. = /

To aside this discussion, there is one possible thing I would like to see.
The one thing I noticed that Bulbagarden lacks is a proper unifying portal
or main page. Bulbagarden does have this, but I think it's seriously undeveloped.

When I first found this place long ago, I stumbled across a front page full of info and stats.

Today I see the forum taking more of a dominant role in acting as a front of
Bulbagarden. Sure there are the wikis and I know that the the front page
was added to help bring it all together, but right now I feel that this is very
loosely tied together. Moving between areas feels like whole new domians.

It would be nice to see some form of consistency between the various pages
of Bulbagarden, and possibly more effective development out of the front page.
The front page has loads of potential and has been done nice, but seems there
are no future plans to make any use of it. I feel that some great strides
could be taken here to fully utilize it as an RSS feed for Bulbanews or directories.

However if there is some unspoken rule where all development takes place
here on the forums and this discussion doesn't include the other properties
of Bulbagarden or it's main page then I apologize.

I've visited the new front page a grand total of 3 times since the whole debaccle of putting it up. All three of those occasions were because I didn't have the bookmark for the forums.

Personally, I visit the front page everyday. I don't think I've ever accessed the forums any other way.

I agree that the front page at the moment is a bit bland. there isn't much on it aside from links and I think it could have some more. Also the wiki and Bulbanews look totally different than the forums so they don't really seem to go together.
