since I so indecisive I gonna spring for a few different characters and say it's between ash misty brock and dawn

l really liked how ash developed as a person and trainer all the way up to unova screw up undid it all

misty was a great character to watch the way she bounced of brock and ash just worked even some of the dull filler episodes felt somewhat more better with them

brock I loved how much of a wise sort of protective older brother he was to the others and how much he cared for Pokémon and their well being and the way he interacted with misty and ash was brilliant

dawn I loved how they made her a co star giving her own great story line with depression and confidence issues and how she learnt she could be her own person rather than trying to prove her self her mother's daughter making it all the way to the contest grand final
 
Ash! Hands down it's Ash. he's my favorite character in the whole show (along with Pikachu of course). In my opinion no one compares to him and he is the main reason I watch the anime. I watch it for the battles, friendships and the Pokemon too but without Ash (and Pikachu) it just wouldn't be Pokemon to me.

I grew up with this show and having Ash as the main Protagonist for all these years has been the one constant in my life; I know it's a show but (for reasons I won't say) this show and just who Ash is as a character helped me when I needed it the most when I was a teenager. now I don't know what others think but Ash is and will forever be my favorite main character. that is all. :D

P.S- May is my favorite female companion; as for the other companions in order from Fav. to Least Fav.: Misty, Brock, Cilan, Bonnie, Clemont, Max, Iris/Serena or Serena/Iris.
 
Satoshi/Haruka. Always loved their interactions, and Haruka was really fun to watch in contests. Satoshi for obvious reasons.

Serena comes in a close second. No real reason other than she's just cute.

All three of them have awesome interactions and have gone through maximum development.They make us laugh and cry.I love their Pokemon too.

Iris:I know people will hate me for this but she is my favorite Pokegirl.I think she is determined,sarcastic,lively and tomboyish plus a great battler and a cute backstory.
