If you had to get rid of one kind of Pokemon what would it be and why?

So, say you had to get rid of one of the current 649 kinds pokemon, who would you throw and why.

I would throw out Arceus. I feel like they could have done much better with the design if they were planning on making a god Pokemon, and throwing it out would force them to start over and possibly make a more impressive one. Plus, all the useless Pokemon probably wouldn't be missed if they were thrown out, and I'd like to see how the rest of the Pokemon world would compensate (fans and history alike) when something so central to the franchise is gone.
 
Pikachu, exclusively out of curiosity.

It'd be interesting to see what'd they do for a pokémon icon with their current one gone. Given their approach this gen though, I'd guess they'd just use iconic ones for the generation, such as the starters or main pokémon or a randomly-selected mascot.
Or most likely, just pick another pokémon.

I guess what I mean is that I'm curious how'd they pull out not having an single iconic permanent mascot. If it's even possible to make it work.


On a side note. Personaly, I kinda like Arceus, its problem is that it is just way too overhyped by the fandom. Dunsparce could've lived up to the Tsu... tchi... thing it is based on (though its obscurity within the fans does, ironically). And I don't really see what's so wrong with Garbodor.

None of them. Every Pokemon has at least a small amount of fans. I wouldn't want to take that away from them.
 
As much as I don't like the idea of wiping any Pokémon from existence, Arceus. For a supposed deity-like being, it's not exactly imaginative. Plus, I really hate the fact that every 11 year old kid thinks they're unstoppable just because they have one on their team.
 
ARCEUS. You can't even use it for the competion!!! It's kinda a stinky Pokemon anyway. But now what do people say instead of Holy Arceus!!!?!?!? XP

The funny thing is, they most likely/always are using Arceus as an special sweeper of an offensive frail type. With Judgment and other STAB moves.

Which is not how you use Arceus at all. Spamming Judgment is a dumb waste of an Arceus.

Really now, the pokémon itself isn't bad. It's the HORFF THE UUBERGOD IM IVINCIBALLS people who should be gotten rid of.

Exactly - Normal-type Swords Dance Arceus is the way to go.

Well, that or Ghost-type.
 
Pignite and Emboar. We have one too many Fire/Fightings as is. On another note, Phione because it is too frail and inferior to Manaphy.
 
Lombre, because it is a hideous Pokemon. Lotad is cute, and Ludicolo is neat, so if they could create a different middle stage, that'd be nice.
