What if when you beat the game in any pokemon video game, you had the chance to become a gym leader...i think it would most likely be extremely boring. I mean, judging by the other gym leaders in the game, all they do is stand there in the back of the gym and wait for challengers to come. But anyways, my gym would look like some kind of heavy metal/rock building, and there would often be huge concerts there, since i am a huge fan of metal. I would be a guitarist that often performs, so it would be kind of like how the first gym in pokemon white/black is a restaurant, except mine would be a rock scene. There would be a whole punch of goth or metal dudes that would battle you as you try to reach me. in the background, i would have some crazy screamo song playing instead of the weird techno sounds that always play in the video games. So once the player finally reaches me, i would pull out mah axe and play a cool jam or something and then have a battle with the challenger. I'd be a gothic pokemon trainer, so i guess that would be ghost/dark types or anything similar to that. My first pokemon would be a duskull. i wouldn't evolve it, cause duskull just looks way cooler than its evolutions in my opinion. my next pokemon would be drapion, and my final pokemon would be GLISCOR. if i could choose any others....it would be gengar or tyranitar.
 
Not necesairily true. Some Gym Leaders in Black and White took a more active role in the going-ons around them, such as Elesa activating the bridge and Drayden/Iris not being in their gym until the time of challenging.

Of course, Gym Leaders have to have a team focused around one type (bar Blue), so mine would totally be a Dark-type gym. It's the best ever typing, yo.
 
It's all about Water typing.
Water Gym Leader here, playing with my signature Drizzle Team. (Exception to Toxicroak and Armaldo, even as a Water Gym Leader I need them on my team for it to function right.)

I always looked at myself as somebody who would be a Fancy Gym Leader. My gym would be full of water trainers dressed in suits and dresses. The Gym itself would be a massive Ball room with fountains everywhere (to justify the water typing). All the trainers leading up to me would all have to be stuck up rich people that dress nice and talk complexly. I as the gym leader would simply sit at the top of a large red carpeted stair case that is also a fountain.
My signature pokemon is always my lovely Gorebyss, and I as the gym leader am in a suit and tie with a top hat and a monocle.

I would go all out Flying. Considering that Flying is paired with almost (or all) of the other types, it would be easy to create a team with fairly good partners. Anyways my gym would be all about feather-looking platforms that carry you throughout the gym. There would be the option of not battling trainers just so they might not be strong. :D
 
Hmm, I would have to either specialize in Dragon or Ground type pokemon, though I've noticed that I tend to use non-dragon type dragon pokemon (such as Charizard and Gyarados) more than actual dragon types.

As for my "gym", it wouldn't be a physical building, but inside of a cave or mountain. I've always been very fond of Mt. Silver, but I also really liked Chargestone Cave. I probably wouldn't have any gym trainers, maybe a gentleman or some veterans using various types of pokemon.
 
I'd probably do Grass. The point of the entire gym and my team would be to irritate the player.
Then again, I don't think I'd want to be a Gym Leader. Being defeated by ten-year-olds is probably incredibly demoralizing. :|
 
I would have a difficult time choosing what I would want to do. I would want to either have a Fire, Electric, or Water type gym. Or maybe have some kind of combination of types. Not like Blue where he has a variety, but pick like two types that I just said.. maybe Fire and Electric and have 3 of each of those kind of Pokemon. That would be cool.
 
I'd enjoy being a Gym Leader. I mean, my Pokemon would be modulated to give a challenge to the opponent, but without being completely too strong. Like a test, which, incidentally, is exactly what Gym Leaders do.

Anyway, I'd be a Dark or Steel-type specialist. My Gym would be for Dark: a lot like Falkner's HGSS concept, where you must ascend to a higher platform. But all of the Trainers below would be in the dark, a maze-type thing like Platinum Fantina. At the end, they'd find a platform to take them up to my circular ring where I'd be waiting, with only fire-lit chandeliers providing light. If I were Steel, my Gym would be a simple one: a very long, gear-driven bridge that ascends up to my platform. Stepping on the wrong gear panel at various intervals will trigger a Trainer battle, while the right one rotates the bridge panel and aligns it with the direction heading upwards (a little bit like Volkner's gears).

I love Rock and Water types, so maybe I could make a dual-typed gym XDD Like, making an enormous mining mountain with caves and waterways. Elesa's rollar coaster gym reminded me of amusement parks water-rides, so I think it would be awesome if the trainers had to ride something like Splash Mountain LOLZ.

I'd have Kabutops, Omastar, Corsola, the turtle which I forgot the name XDD
 
I would be a Mixed type gym, as I favour a lot of types mostly the Dragon type. My gym would be quite dark inside and almost impossible to see in with neon blue lights guiding the challenger through the gym and it's trainers (all Ace and Veteran trainers of course :p).

When they finally reach me my party would consist of either my Pokemon White Team, or my Pokemon Black one and my attire would be Blue of course XD

My teams consist of strategy and balance in types and between Offence and Defence. I would of course be the last Gym to challenge within the game and my Pokemon are all of high level and power. These are actually my teams in the current games and they are all level 100, but as a gym they would be cut down to around 60 to 70. I would love to have a gym I think it wouldn't be boring at all, as long as the challengers come frequently and they are strong.
 
I would totes be a fighting gym leader. With Lucario, Hariyama and Darmanitan. (Darmanitan isn't fighting obviously but he can learn some sweet fighting type moves!)
Yess yess it would be grand.
