...what would they have?

I'm putting this here rather than in anime because there's non-trainers in the games, the comics, and other sources as well. If someone's a trainer in one series but not in another, heck, put them down here anyway!

Domino would have a Roseraid, especially if she could find one with mutated roses that looked like tulips.

Jirarudan would have to have a flying type, and if it *had* to be something that wasn't Legendary, I could see him with a Pidgeot. Although he sure as hell wouldn't raise it from a Pidgey, and he'd probably insist on a pedigree.

Scott would have a Drifloon AND YOU ALL KNOW WHY.

I fully agree with Shedinja that Sebastian would have a Porygon Z.

Madame Boss...a Delcatty?

I can see Miyamoto with a Crobat, but I'm not sure why.

Grandpa from Magical Pokemon Journey (the Natu's not his, it's Ginger's, so he still counts) would have a Slowpoke. It would share his passion for mad science but would never be able to accomplish anything.

Max would have Ralts and maybe team up with Jirachi (can't really own legendaries) ;)

Pyramid King Brandon is a huge exception and the Regis aren't in the same league as Jirachi. They are man made from what I understand and they hardly have the power of Jirachi. It's asleep all the time and when it wakes it can grant every wish, if you own it the suggestion is that it will fulfill all your wishes as its awake when it comes out of the pokéball. Anyways in most cases trying to catch legendaries usually make things go pear shaped, we saw that with the bird trio for example. I do concede that Brandon does the three golems but I do think that is a major exception, I doubt we will see that again (the guy with the Articuno doesn't own it).

Dude, this *totally* isn't the thread for that. At least put *something* relating to the main topic.
It actually does sorta relate to the main topic (in regards to the possibility of those characters owning a legendary or not) and I was simply expanding on my reply (justifying what I said).
It's not as if I am cluttering the thread or anything, I mean noone else posted here so its hardly a popular topic.

On topic:
Tory Lund should capture Plusle and Minun after the events of Destiny Deoxys.

I can see Max having a Leafeon for some reason (in addition to Ralts of course). :3

I can see Max having a Leafeon just as a parallel to May's Glaceon. I can also see Luna (from Mewtwo Returns) having a Masquerain. I'm not exacly sure why, though. I can see Cullen (also from Mewtwo Returns) having a Scyther. I still don't have any idea why. ^^;

I herd u liek Swampert?, nearly every Frontier Brain in the games own atleast one of the trios, or a Lati@s to show their status as possibly a Master-class trainer.

...Scott would have a Drifloon AND YOU ALL KNOW WHY.

I actually first thought it was because Drifloon turns fat when it evolves....

...then I remembered alleged rumours about Scott and his personal life.

With said rumours aside, possibly a flying Pokemon or a Sentret, since he is a scout for talented trainers.

Mr. Fuji - Chansey since he does like to help injured and abandoned Pokemon. I wouldn't be too surprised if he had a Mew living with him disguising itself as an orphaned Pokemon.

Bill - In the games, yeah we get it, there is a good chance he owns every single Eeveelution known to man. I even wonder, being the great inventor that he is, if he has invented an evolution machine that allows elemental stone Pokemon to evolve without the stones. I just wanted to list other Pokemon he might have other than Eevees. For one, he may have had a Clefairy since it was the Pokemon he got fused with in the games. Multiple Porygon and a couple of Porygon2 would probably be helpful to patrol his PC system. Not PorygonZ since it is a glitched Pokemon

Daisy - She doesn't have a Pokemon in the games but is mentioned to have won the Spring festival contest, so possibly she is into Grass Pokemon?

Professor Oak - Game-wise he didn't really have any official Pokemon. However, we know he was once a powerful trainer. He probably has fully-evolved versions of all his starters.

Professor Elm - He should probably have a pokemon who knows Wake-up Slap, in the games and anime they mention how he falls asleep at the desk. He probably has a bunch of baby-Pokemon to study aswell, but they're probably just borrowed from the Daycare.

Professor Birch - He's a field researcher, so probably a Linoone and Zigzagoon since they have a tendancy to pick stuff up the ground.

Guy at the fron of every gym - Either he's the same guy stalking you, or they all communicate with each other, but a Chatot seems really good for them. Chatot can help him give you his inspirational pep-talks before every battle. He probably also has an Abra to teleport himself around.

Wanda - Probably a Whismur since she lives close to Verdanturf tunnel. Maybe even an illumise, while her Boyfriend has Volbeat, or she can have Volbeat while he has Illumise.

Professor Cosmo - Clefairy line, for someone so obsessed with meteorites, it would be a surprise not to have them

Fossil Maniac - I'm going to say Dugtrio and Diglett. They would surely be helpful when he's digging. He probably caught one of the Dittos in his cave aswell. I doubt he would have revived any of the fossils he found.

I'm still right :D

I think you missed the fact that we were talking animé not games, there is a significant difference regarding the legendaries. In the games your statement is 100% correct, but I was referencing the animé. In the animé only Brandon owns some legendaries (the three regis), although Noland befriended an Articuno.

I would give Scott a Snorlax.

Me at the beginning of the thread said:

We're discussing all versions of Pokémon. Anyway, even *in* the anime there's been trainers with Legendaries and it's not always considered an evil act. Ash even tried to *help* someone capture Entei once.
The Legendary Birds are the only ones who, when disturbed, sent things "pear shaped" as you put it, and that's only because they were the specific ones found on the elemental islands. Trying to catch others of their species wouldn't have sent everything downhill.

*sigh* Now can we *please* get back on topic?

Woops, my bad I missed that one. Completely failed to remember that actually, darn. Sorry "L", now you have more blog material <_< Too early and not enough coffee yet, being tired while posting leads to things like this!

Why do you keep stating this is off topic? Geez, all of this pertains to the topic in one way or another. I don't understand why do you pretend it doesn't? Although it could possibly warrant another thread, regardless I won't bring it up again (the discussion on the legendaries revived the whole topic so you should be happy). Which canon is relevant or not, game vs animé? You didn't exactly specify-

I would give Prof. Birch an Arcanine to travel around on, instead of his jeep that he keeps crashing. I don't know if Wendy has pokémon or not, seeing as she is in Team Rocket she should, but I would give her a Zangoose (seeing how she hates Jesse and Jesse owns a Seviper).

The Weekday-Sibblings in Johto needs some love too :)

Monica-I find it strange that she is the oldest sibbling when the week technically starts on Sunday but whatever. Since the item she gives us is Sharp beak, which looks similar to a Fearow's beak, she'd probably have Fearow herself. SHe is also close to the route where Fearow are found.

Tuscany-Pink bow for an adorable Snubble, or even a Sentret since those are found in the route she stays in aswell.

Wesly-Black Belt for a Machoke, who is found in Mt. Mortar, which is relativey close tot he Lake of Rage Wesly hides in. He probably also has a Magikarp or Gyarados.

Arthur-A Hard Stone for a Sudowoodo maybe? He was close to the route that a Sudowoodo blocked. Like all rock-trainers, he probably has a geodude aswell.

Frieda-Both male and Female Nidoran live close to where she hands out her Poison Barbs, and the species themselves having a poisonous barbs on their bodies. She probably caught a Zubat in the nearby cave aswell.

Sunny-Being the youngest, baby Pokemona re fitting for him. A little Pichu would probably appreciate his magnet, as would the tiny little plug Elekid.

Now for other characters:

Lance's Grandfather-Dragonite, Gyarados, Feraligatr, Salamence, Garchomp, Milotic.

Flanery's Grandpa (games)-Like her daughter, a Torkoal, also a Camerupt. Also, what kind of self respecting fire-master doesn't have a Charizard :D

Teala-She works at the trade stations in pokemon centres so porygon and Porygon2 should be useful for managing trainer data.

I can see Max becoming a psychic Pokemon Trainner. Since he is a smart kid and psychic Pokemon are respectfully smart. I can see him have a Alakazam, Slowking, Ralts for sure maybe evolving it into Gallade, and maybe a Xatu. So thats what I think

Jirarudan with a pedigreed Pigeot = WIN.
Maybe a Togekiss, Altaria, or Gyarados. With Starmie?

I'm just being random. Pay no mind.

Man, I wish I could come up with something for someone else, but you guys seem to have it all covered!

I think your choice of character is perfectly fine. Hahahahaha.

Thought of one for someone else though--I don't think Westwood has any pokémon, does he? The Slowpokes at his lab are all wild...
Well, the obvious choice *is* Slowpoke, but I could see him with a Mime Jr/Mr Mime because he's so frantic all the time and watching something mimic that would be hilarious.

Max seems to have a strong affinity to Psychic, Dark and Ghost Pokemon, so I could really see him training those. In addition to Ralts (who is totally going to evolve into Gallade), I can see him training a Mightyena and a Banette (evolutions of Pokemon he befriended). Maybe an Alakazam or something too.

Celio seems like a good candidate for training a Porygon to me.

I wonder what kind of Pokemon Todd would train...
