I was looking through my old program from Pokemon Live so I could update the Bulbapedia page. I read that Ikue Ohtani and Maddie Blaustein reprised Pikachu and Meowth. However, knowing what I know about the anime, I felt safe assuming that only archive recordings were used to portrayed Pikachu's voice. Do you think that's a safe assumption to make? I'm sure that's what happened, but I just wanted your opinions. I remembered Jigglypuff and Psyduck "talking", but no voice actors were listed. Do you think they did the same thing for them, using archive recordings of Rachel Lillis and Michael Haigney? Again, I'm pretty sure that's what they did, I just want to hear what you guys think.

They're not going to fly Ms. Ohtani in from Japan - while the series she's working on is still in production - to provide a voice in a stage show. Of course they used archive recordings.

Who cares about actors and voice actors?I judge things by how they're good. But some people judge them by the creators of them.

That's what I figured. There's the possibility they recorded her in Japan and brought the tapes to America, but archives do sound more reasonable.

I loved the show. I was just curious about the actors. I mean, those are the only two from the anime to be in the show so, for me, it's natural to wonder about their true involvement.
