The animation of X/Y is noticeably better than last season. Not only that, but the writing seems better. Then again, it's probably because the two new sidekicks aren't saying stupid culinary puns every 5 minutes. The annoying "swoosh" sound of hand movement is still there, but I didn't notice it till 10 minutes into the last episode.
Really liking this new series so far. And was that a young Ash in a momentary flashback? Haven't seen him receive any character development since Paul demoralized him. Also, when Garchomp almost fell over the ledge, I think that was the first time Ash showed a sense of fear in the series.
