I bought the prima pokemon diamond and pearl book, the big one with more info, and there's no map of Wayward cave. I am so mad. I need a map of that place. Anyone know where I can find it on the internet. This guy

says it's on gamefaqs but I can't find it anywhere! Please! if someone can give me a link to a map of Wayward cave it would be great;y appreciated.

I can't find a map online, either (and my Google-Fu is very strong), but I personally found it relatively simple to explore every inch of Wayward Cave without a map. I found Mira went I went back later on in the game to search it more thoroughly.

First of all, get a Poke with Flash to light up the cave. (You probably knew that already, though.) Also, use lots of Repels, because getting attacked every five steps makes navigation a freakin' torture test.

Secondly, pick a direction and try to stick with it. For example, decide to head to the east wall, or the northwest corner, and always navigate towards that one goal. Eventually, you'll have explored all of the cave.

Finally, Mira is in the extreme northeast corner of the cave. So if you keep trying to move northeast, you'll find her, sooner rather than later. Go around rocks and such as needed.

Hope that helps! I had no idea she was there until I actually found her. Where does she go after she leaves the Cave? Does she give you some sort of a gift?

This is why you don't get Prima's guide books. :p

There is a map on GameFAQs, but it's called by its Japanese name.

My guide (Nintendo Power pokedex with Dialga and Palkia on the front only) has the differant rooms you can enter in the wayward cave and tips and strategies about how to get through it.

Or you could do what I did and randomly walk through whatever door you feel like. I did that and got to Giratina on my first try XD

There are hidden doors in there? 0_0

Where are they? The map from GameFAQs doesn't show any doors, and what's this about Giratina being in there? I'm pretty sure I explored the entire cave, but I never encountered Giratina. Is it a rare random encounter? I can't find anything on GameFAQs about that, either.

EDIT: Found it. I think we're mixed up here... Giratina is in Turnback Cave, which is different from Wayward Cave.

Oh, yeah, I always get those two mixed up ^^;;;

My guide doesn't have Wayward cave in there either. It's basicaly a post-Elite Four walk through.

The Pokedex guides are Post-Elite Four guides/Pokedexes(both NP and Prima), and the strategy guides are Pre-Elite Four guides(again, both NP and Prima).

If you want a rip-off, pick up the Pokemon Battle Revolution NP Player's Guide. The bulk of the 208-page guide is a 120-page gallery of all the pokemon in the game and nothing else.

Meh. It was pretty handy for me. But to each their own. :p

please people I need to know which is the best one to get?

I've seen many reports that the Prima Pokédex is better, because it lists more in-depth stats, has more illustrations for each Pokémon, and most importantly, it actually tells you how to catch each Pokémon. That's what I read in a number of reviews online.

When it comes to the pre-Elite 4 game guide, the Nintendo Power one is supposed to be better.

I really wouldn't trust Prima. They've made plenty of mistakes before, such as claiming that Beldum can't breed.

This is the one I have and it has where to catch all the pokemon, where they are in pal park, and everything like that. I reccomend it ^_^

Oh? Well, I guess the stuff I read online was inaccurate.

I guess that's the one I'll get if I ever end up getting one. I'm kinda used to the Serebii Dex and Bulbawiki at this point, though.

I've never looked at the other two, so I'm not a good one for comparing the others, but that one has never done me wrong before and even has about the personality and nature of each pokemon and what they do, so I like it as a quick referance.

I also use the pics for plushies ^_^ I don't need a lot of pictures so long as I have the attacks and stuff.

It also has picks of the 5 trainers that follow you, which is a cool feature ^_^

The fold out map of the land with all the locations on the back is a great bonus. That and it was only 14.89-ish at Walmart.

I got the Prima Volume 2 guide, an it's awesome. I; has so much info. If you are close to beating the elite 4 or have beat them GET THIS BOOK.
