I've had my eye on joining this community for awhile now. I intended to join the weekend HG/SS was released in NA, but with the server being more or less broken, I put it off. :p

Anyways, my name is Katelynn, if you were not aware. I've been looking for another community to visit and become a part of ever since I quit WoW and couldn't post on their forums anymore, and it looks like I've found one.

I really despise writing these introduction posts as I tend to spend hours on them, so I hope to keep this short. I'll just throw up a list of facts about me and hopefully that'll do it. :p

I'm a silly person to be around. I often take jokes way too far however, so that's a downfall. I'm engaged to a lovely person, but no plans outside of that. I'm a rabid poke-nerd and have been since day one of when red and blue were released in NA, but I somehow skipped Gen III. Blame school for that.

Other franchises I'm interested in include the Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Metal Gear, Star Ocean and Dragon Quest. I used to be a big fan of Sonic, but my enthusiasm for the series has all but died out due to a long stream of boring games with horrible plot lines. I'm also a bit of a Trekkie. :D

I like to write things. I like to draw things. I like to program things. Unfortunately I haven't had a whole lot of time for the first two things due to being a new parent. But, hey, I'm not complaining, parenting's a rewarding experience.

I believe that's all I can really say at the moment. I'd get into detail about my latest programming project, but I'd be here all night explaining it and I don't feel like doing so at the moment. :p
 
Welcome to the forums. There really isn't a need to write a long introductory post. Just say that you're new here and that's it.

Perhaps I was a bit too wordy with my post, but that's just how I am with intro posts. :p

I didn't think it was long or boring at all. Maybe I've read too many college textbooks so many standards have been severely lowered?

I was a big fan of Zelda II. It's the oddball of the bunch and quite fun. In terms of the "classic" zelda design, I'd go with Link's Awakening. Many hours of my childhood were spent glitching and bugging that game out.

I'm mostly into the classic series, having only played Mega Man 1-6. I've tried the X series out but didn't like it too much, and the same goes for the battle network series. I haven't tried Legends out. I'm looking forward to trying 9 and 10 out once I get a bit more free time.

As for my project, thanks. I should really start working hard on it again, I've been too lax with it over the past few weeks.

Hey. :) I'm new here, too. I joined either yesterday or the day before... can't remember. Anyways.
