I'm totally lost, but don't feel like I am.

I've been playing since Diamond in 2009 (yeah, I'm new) and right now I'm getting enough BP to get a Razor Claw and evolve my Sneasel. But I've always been curious about my movesets and EV... I think it's too late for EV, but I've never seen the difference. Can anyone explain what that is, and what might be best for my team? I've already beaten all 16 leaders, and I'm trying to get as high leveled and powerful as possible to defeat Red. The only problem is, I'm deciding between

TYPHLOSION - 55 - Quiet - Swift, Rollout, Shadow Claw, Flamethrower
EMPOLEON - 51 - Mild - Blizzard, Cut, Whirlpool, Surf
HO-OH - 51 - Jolly - Extrasensory, Sunny Day, Fire Blast, Sacred Fire
SNEASEL - 43 - Serious - Icy Wind, Slash, Beat Up, Metal Claw (this'll be changing to a moveset consisting of Ice Punch, Night Slash, Swords Dance, and Pursuit)
VILEPLUME - 34 - Lax - Sleep Powder, Giga Drain, Acid, PoisionPowder

I'm not sure on a last Pokemon. I have a Honchkrow, Ampharos, Pichu, Beedrill, Gyarados, and Jirachi. Which would be the best, and how are my Pokemon/movesets? Thanks!

Dude, half of this belongs in the simple questions thread and the other half belongs in the in-game teams. But ill answer your questions anyway so you wont be too disapointed. Having ho-oh in this team would make it ubers (not that it matters since this seems to be an in-game team), I think wild sneasels have a chance to be holding a razor claw so get a banette with frisk ability, teach it thief and look for a sneasel holding razor claw.

4 EV= stat+1
Max EVs on 1 stat= 255
Max total EVs= 510

Ill leave it up to you to decide the distribution since they're your pokemon.
