So, it kind of struck me how every academy RP plays from the heroes' side. So I decided to make one where we played as villains. Plus, silly RPs are a lot easier to run.

In addition, for those of you who remember, this shares the same universe as my old Hero Academy RP, though the circumstances might be a bit different.

Imperia
An Academy for Villains

Gloria umbris - Glory from the shadows

Introduction:
Dear ______________,

As a young and upcoming villain, I'd imagine you've been enjoying your early exploits in a life of crime: wealth, power, infamy. Living the good life, as it were. Of course, I'd imagine you've been running into a few minor roadblocks. Things like 'rules,' and 'laws,' and 'public disapproval,' and worst of all, 'heroes.' It seems that no matter what you do, there are always going to be some people who just love to get in your way.

So, it is my most (in)sincere pleasure to invite you to the Imperia Academy for Villains. Just as the heroes of the world have been organizing themselves in their so-called "Hero Project," we feel that it is in our collective interest to organize ourselves similarly.

Now, you're certainly asking yourself, "What's in it for me?" Well, let me present a few of the benefits of Imperia:

  • An unparalleled villainous education!
    [*]Faculty from around the world!
[*]A first-class campus with luxury housing!
[*]Networking with the villains of tomorrow, today!
    [*]And much, much more!

So please, consider registering at Imperia today! We'll be waiting!

Sincerely,
Numina
Headmaster, Imperia Academy
Number 3, Global Most-Wanted List

PS: If you received this letter, we know where you live.
PPS: Registration is mandatory.
PPPS: Have a good day!

Curriculum:
Here at Imperia, we tailor our curriculum to YOUR needs. Only one subject is required for graduation: the Basic Villainy series (Basic Villainy I/II/III/IV). Every other course is left to the teacher's discretion (NOTE: The administration of Imperia Academy takes no responsibility for injury, maiming, and/or death suffered in these courses).

What does this mean? It means you have the broadest villainous education available (NOTE: Imperia is the only academy sanctioned by the Villains' Directive. All other schools are henceforth recognized as illegitimate and thus acceptable targets for indiscriminate elimination)! Teachers are free to cover anything ranging from Violence & Torture to Superweapons of Tomorrow.

Imperia spares no expense in bringing you the subjects YOU want to learn.

NOTE: If interested at teaching at Imperia, please contact the administration as soon as possible.

Campus:
Imperia Academy is located on 13 Wall Street, New York, NY, in downtown Manhattan, in the very heart of the American financial system. The upper floors are reserved for classrooms and other teaching facilities, while the underground levels serve a number of different purposes:

  • Level 6: Lecture Halls 601-606
  • Level 5: Classrooms 501-530
  • Level 4: Classrooms 401-420
  • Level 3: Classrooms 301-313
  • Level 2: Library
  • Level 1: Administration; Auditorium
  • Basement: Lockers; Cafeteria
  • Sublevel 1: Dormitories (Control)
  • Sublevel 2: Dormitories (Chaos)
  • Sublevel 3: Dormitories (Profit)
  • Sublevel 2: Prison; Biology Laboratories
  • Sublevel 3: Students' Armory; Gymnasium
  • Sublevel 4: Faculty Armory; Training Centers
  • Sublevel 5: Other Laboratories; Research Centers
  • Sublevel 6: Heavy Weapons and Vehicles

NOTE: Floor plan liable to change via dimensional transport.

In addition, teachers are free to use the city or other locations around the world for practical lessons and demonstrations.

Housing:
Imperia understands the daily risks of villainous life: assault by heroes, interference and imprisonment by law enforcement, etc. To ensure our students' safety, Imperia provides free housing to every student, guaranteed for the duration of their time here.

In addition, Imperia divides students among three Houses, each of which embodies some villainous ideal. Control advocates controlling the world, ruling it through whatever means necessary. Chaos advocates spreading chaos, mayhem, and destruction for their own sake. And Profit simply advocates doing whatever most benefits yourself.

The three Houses each have their own private dormitories, on separate floors of the building. Each House is overseen by one of the teachers.

Notoriety:
We at Imperia expect the best of our students. After all, you are the future of villainy--we can’t afford to let the heroes surpass us.

Thus, to encourage the improvement of all, the Houses compete amongst each other for Notoriety. After classes every day, students are allowed three hours of free time. Every day, a student is chosen from each House as a leader.

The leader chooses a crime to commit during free time, and leads their House in doing so. At the end of free time, one to six points of Notoriety are awarded to each House. We want to see you at your most creative and destructive!

The House with the most Notoriety gets first pick of items for special missions, such as attacks against the Hero Project or especially valuable targets.

The Six Rules of Villainy:
These are the six rules enshrined by Imperia and the Villains’ Directive. At the very least, we at Imperia hope you learn them, if nothing else.

  1. You are number one.
  2. You break it, you bought it.
  3. It’s all part of the plan. All of it.
  4. Whatever it is, it’s probably a cliché.
  5. You will lose, sooner or later.
  6. There are no rules.

* * *
Now going OOC...

Rules:
  • Follow all BMGf rules. This includes the obvious ones: be respectful, no spamming, etc.
  • Be descriptive. Short posts make for a boring RP. Aim for at least three sentences, maybe even a paragraph.
  • Keep OOC to a minimum. Any major discussion should be here, in the sign-up thread. Any OOC in the start-up should be game-oriented.
  • No god-modding. Defeating everything effortlessly and solving every problem instantly makes for a very boring RP.
  • Don’t control other players’ characters. This is simply proper procedure in any RP.
  • Listen to the GM. I’m here to keep gameplay going and ensure things don’t go out of control.
  • Read the rules and background information. They’re here for a reason. Reading the entire first post makes gameplay much smoother.

Name:Daemon Somera
Alias:Splice
Age:16
Gender:Male
Student/Teacher: Student

Powers: While his main source of villainy doesn't come from a power, he is in no way weak. To replace his lack of superhuman abilities he designed a device to fuse the DNA of one animal with another, most of the time one of those animals being himself. When fusing someone else he creates a monster just as mindless as the animal they're fused with, but when he fuses himself he sustains most of his conscious mind, except for the affects of animal instincts. His alteration of other DNA is permanent except for small changes, such as the addition of wings. Because of his constant splicing he has gained increased strength and regenerative abilities.
Weakness: While his transformation is more powerful than when he transforms someone else, it is in no way permanent. After a general period of time of about 4 hours, he reverts to his base form until the gene splicer recharges. If the gene splicer is ever removed from his body or the tubes connecting it are cut he becomes defenseless. If he is fused with the tubes disconnected he becomes temporarily a just as mindless as the others.

Appearance: Daemon has dark brown hair that seems to defy gravity and bright green eyes. He has fairly tan skin, and an above average amount of body hair. He stands at 6'1 with a quite muscular build. He wears a skin tight shirt and pants made out of a synthetic material designed to stretch with his transformations. His gene splicer is worn like a gauntlet around his arm.
Personality: Daemon isn't exactly the most sane person in the world. He tends to be a bit antisocial and often responds to people with only a growl or grunt. Despite his normally reclusive nature he does sometimes have random outbursts of insanity and rage. He is in no way reluctant to kill and will sometimes do it just for fun.

Background: Daemon was always the nerd in school. Always picked on, left out, bullied, and always chosen last in sports, that he had no interest in anyway. Come recess, he'd stay inside in the library. He always had plans to change his life and become like the kids picking on him, but he never went through with them. His life went on like that for years. He had become accustomed to it and it barely phased him anymore.

As he grew older he was growing more and more impatient. He went to college majoring in genetics. THere the bullying died down, but it never completely disappeared. He spent years in his home lab, working on a plan to gain power and finally be the one on top. He finally developed it. The gene splicer. It was originally used for crossing other organisms together, but during a test run he accidentally crossed himself with a wolf. After he changed back he realised the potential of the device. He created a new gene splicer that would link into his own body.
Flaws: Daemon is careless, and will act fully on impulse. Although his evil used to be fueled by revenge it has now become just part of his growing insanity and want for power.

Other: Any other information you might want to add?

Name: Evan Nates
Alias: Dr. Chaos
Age: 17
Gender: Male

Student/Teacher: Student

Powers: Evan's power is that he is incredibly skilled with technology, a product of having learned about it all his life. He may or may not actually be smart, but this gives him an almost instinctive knowledge of machines. He is especially good at hacking: If it's on a network he can access, he can get in. He's also good with demolitions, able to make explosives from many mundane objects. He is also somewhat decent at getting into places he's not supposed to, with some basic knowledge of lockpicking and disguise. Finally, he is insanely good at video games. He's even beaten Battletoads.
Weakness: Aside from being able to create machines, he has no special abilities. Deprived of his tech, he's deprived of his powers.

Appearance: Evan is very dedicated to his work as an evil scientist, and as such, doesn't have time for sleep. As such, he has dark rings under his eyes. He dyes his hair white, partially because he likes Andy Warhol's art, and partly because he thinks Sephiroth from FFXII is badass. He has a lithe frame, and wears rectangular glasses over his eyes. Normally, he wears a lab coat over a black t-shirt with a skull on it and a pair of jeans. He hates shoes, so never wears them if he can help it. When he needs to disguise his identity, he chooses any number of disguises from a kit, although his favorite is a lab coat, a generic ID badge, and a pair of goggles, which can usually get him in most places.

Personality: Despite considering himself an evil genius and anarchist, Evan is mostly pragmatic. He only does bad things if it's worth it. Otherwise, he tries to help people, on the understanding that it will make them more likely to aid him in the future. Evan realizes full well that most people are good at heart, and he is the exception, and he is fully willing to use that to his advantage. He may or may not have some goodness, but he fervently denies it. He does take quite a bit of joy in property damage, and does find other's distress occasionally amusing.

Background: Evan's parents were both key players in the criminal underworld: His mother, Dauntra Nates, was a skilled assasin, exceedingly skilled and exceedingly deadly. His father, Lucius Nates, meanwhile, embezzled millions from many different companies, in addition to dabbling in money laundering, the drug trade, racketeering, and the occasional selling of information to enemies of his country. They met when Evan's mother was called to kill Evan's father, but instead, they fell in love, and got married. Evan was born eight months later, and was raised in their mansion, where he lived in the lap of luxury. He was taught by many private tutors, and while his father was a tad disappointed that Evan would rather be a video game developer instead of a crime boss, he was supportive, and Evan quickly became a great engineer, learning both about coding and hardware manufacture.
This all collapsed when the police caught both of them in a massive sting. His father's finances were frozen, and both of them were tried and executed while Evan was in foster care. This led him to swear a vendetta on the established order, and kill everyone involved in his parent's death, from all the members of the jury to the judge that convicted them to the police that arrested them. In his mother's will, meanwhile, it stated that Evan was to go to his previously unheard of aunt. She herself sent him to Imperia, where he would learn to assume leadership of his own criminal empire.

Flaws: Evan's main motivation as a villain is greed. Above all, he wants power, so he can shape the world to his whims. He has little concern for the well-being of most people, seeing most other people as little more than things to experiment on. He usually won't hurt others for no reason, but he won't think twice when he does. He can care for some people, but unless someone is his friend, they're little more than objects to him. He also has an extreme addiction to video games and Anime. Finally, while normally pragmatic, he does feel compelled to blow things up and cause general trouble for people on occasion, but only when he thinks it would be funny.

Other: He presently has a katana. He made it out of a metal he made himself which is bery durable and can be sharpened to a monomolecular edge. He also has a briefcase he can fit huge amounts of stuff in. He keeps the sword, a laptop, some bombs, and a bunch of disguises in it. It can also open portals to Hell and summon zombie goasts.
RP Sample: A summary of my favorite RP. I was L, Light, Tamaki, and Velarn.
OOC: Light kidnapped Tamaki to use him to seduce L, they ran through a bunch of worlds. Vegeta and that one Digimon dude are fighting, and Valern, Tamaki, and Light managed to get back to the Ouran world. Valern dressed up as Tamaki and Maka said he was more handsome, so Light stole him and took him to the Death Note world, along with Maka. Then Valern unzipped L's pants while trying to seduce him, candy came out, and now the Death Note world is being flooded with L's pants candy, which Light is eating, and Valern is shooting. Maka's in the Naruto world. Taiga too, I think.

As soon as I saw this post, I smiled and let loose one of the biggest evil laughs I remember making.

Reserve me a spot for a teacher, and one for a student. This is going to be fun...

Name: Leonard Rospark

Alias: Hedgefrost

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Student/Teacher: Student

Powers: Leonard's main powers lies in his fireproof armor. he has a special gauntlets that let's him fires freezing waves from his palms and fingers, and a special iron boots that could make him walk on walls.

Weakness: take off his costume and he's nothing but a powerless and mischievous teen. His armor suit have one fatal weakness: electricity. If the armor is shot by high voltage electric waves, It will cause malfunction and stops operating, making it an useless piece of metal.

Appearance: Leonard's Supervillain Costume is a shadowed figure dressed in black and gold medieval knight-esque armor with six tendril-like spikes, two jutting out of the armor's back and four jutting out of the shoulders. A black iron gauntlets and black iron kneecaps and boots, a headdress with a tall collar and a floor-length red cape. To signify his position as a villain, he also wears a black, funky sunglasses(even in the dark. Because he's an american! And american always had a sunglasses. In america!) in his costume, Leon's eyes become golden, giving him a somewhat demonic look.
When he's not on his costume, he usually wears a blue shirt with a hood. He also has silver shoulder, elbow and knee guards with engravings on them(just in case a hero attacks him, he hides a small knife under his shoulder guard). His brown gloves are fingerless and his shorts have two belts that cross each other. Hanging on one of the belts is a box for Yu-Gi-Oh Deck. He wears brown stockings with short, white boots and armor over each foot. His hair is black and stick out in all direction, and his eyes are blue.

Personality: Leon is a ruthless teen, with an unrivaled lust for power. This aspect of his personality is reflected by his unique ability to freeze waters and manipulate it by his will. He sees defeat as a sign of weakness and displays an outright refusal to accept it, even forcing himself to rise again in an injured state to resume the battle. Leon is fully capable of committing truly abhorrent and inhumane actions without feeling any shred of remorse or hesitation, and he is portrayed as possessing a level of confidence bordering on arrogance, even going as far to rob a bank by himself.
When not in battle, however, Leon is just a simple laid back teen who loves his coffee. He loves spicy foods, cherry blossoms, the pyramids and night time walk.

Background: Born and raised in America, Leonard Rospark is the only son of a famous scientist and inventors, William Rospark. William is married to a librarian of egypt descent named Isis. Leonard is different from his parents in personality and in skills. He's more of a sporty person, who lacks in his study and always fell asleep during classes, and show no interest in anything except sports.
One day, Leonard's father invented a new suit of fireproof armor that could shoot a stream of water and walk on the walls. This suit of armor is actually made for the firemen, to help them with their works.
Happy by his father's work, Leonard decides to study hard and become just like his dad when he grew up.
However, his dreams turned to dust when his parents died in a car accident when they're going to pick him up on the school.
Depressed, Leonard moved to his uncle house(which isn't too far from his house). There, he have to deal with his cruel uncle, aunt, and cousins, who always treat him like a garbage and order him around.
Tired of always being treated unfair in the house, Leonard sneak out at night through the window, and ran to his old house, where his dad's unfinished suit of armor is kept hidden. With the help of his father's manual, the teen rebuilt his dad's armor, and added more touch to it, making the armor could shoot freezing waves, not water stream.
The next day, he returned to his uncle house, with the suit of armor on(now redesigned), torturing them with his new ability.
Now, he owns the house, and his uncle and aunt serves as his servant, and his cousin is... Well, still frozen.
He realized, sooner or later, a hero will come and get him, so once he heard about Imperia Academy, Leon decides to go there.

Flaws: although he has the ability to shoot freezing waves from his armor and a Martial Art skills, his armor is weak against electricity. And.. He hates dark places, mainly because he's afraid of ghosts and darkness.

Other: N/A

RP Sample: Another day, another dawn.
Leonard woke up in the morning, he felt horrible. He slowly opened his eyes, and saw that the lamp on his ceiling looks like its spinning. Moaning, Leonard sat on his bed, rubbing his eye with his finger. He can't get enough sleep last night.

*beep!*

His phone, which is laying on the small round table beside his bed is vibrating loudly. He glanced his eyes at the table, but his eyes aren't focused on his phone, but to a photo on a brown frame. The photo shows a picture of a man and a woman, with the man's hand wrapped around the woman's waist. Both of them looks at Leonard, smiling.

The man is William Rospark, Leonard's father. His outfit consists of black formal wear with button-up sleeves, a red shirt underneath with matching shoes, and a loosely-fitting necktie. His grey hair is sectioned in two layers, his bangs forming one layer and the rest the other. His blue eyes are positioned between the layers closest to his face.
The woman is Isis Rospark, William's dear wife and Leonard's mother. She wears a knee-length white dress, and brown sandals. Her hair is black, waist length, and it falls perfectly without her trying. Her skin is light brown, and her eyes are black, shining with kindness.

The phone stopped vibrating after a while. Sighing, Leonard grabbed his phone and looked at the screen.
"..... I hate waking up early..." The teen muttered, getting out of his bed and goes to the bathroom, slamming the door open and yawned loudly.

DAYUM Renewal, been a such a damn long time since I got excited for a Rp! Very creative.

Name: Steven White

Alias: Winter

Gender: Male

Age: 18

Student/Teacher: Student

Powers: Large financial funding and material goods at his disposal, though his banks would expect something. He has the ability to affect one’s psychological state through manipulation. Steven's also proficient at using drugs, including poisons and gases. Well learnt in plants and martial arts. Extremely charming, uses women as weapons. On the cover of women’s weekly 250th edition.

Weakness: He loves everyone. He has complete and total, pure love for the entire human race, and seeing others touching his beloved humans makes him mad. His duck, Sir Edward the Great is his second greatest foil. The duck would spontaneously ruin his plans creatively. He’s scared of onions and diet soda. Needs to wear white or he’ll feel ‘naked.’ Repulsed by duck meat.

Appearance: He sports a light blond coloured head, messed up from his hand after combing it finely. At first glance, he seems to be a polite, charming young man with shining blue eyes full of determination. Steven is usually seen wearing a white dress shirt with black slacks, showing off a ghost of his toned body. Despite being under cover most of the time, he has taken the liberty to judge the murderers, and molesters, corrupt politicians and mean school teachers, each time wearing a white suit and styles his hair forward to mask his eyes.

Personality: Steven only has the purest love imaginable for everyone. He loves his beloved humans to the point pain, and is an extremely jealous man. He see’s everyone trying to ‘take over’ or ‘control’ the world as his enemies, hence enrolling to make sure they will never succeed. To ensure that the world is completely his, he seeks to protect his humans by keeping them under his watchful, loving eye and maintains a relaxed air of playfulness at all times. He doesn’t want to scare his beloved humans, doesn’t he?

Though he never reveals how much he loves his people, and instead takes on a secretive route to express his love: Murdering the “monsters” that plague the Earth. Everyone who is a threat is a monster. Everyone who harms innocent humans are monsters. Despite this obsession, he’s generally pleasant and playful to talk to, if not a little intense at times. He acts childish even. Although he loves them so, he always loves to see “all their expressions” including fear, shock, and despair. Around the students at the school, how ever, he aims to deceive them into thinking that he's not up to anything and just a normal super villian with no ulterior goals.

He calls himself Winter, because the snow may be cold, but it protects the Autumn seeds till spring. Also he likes the colour white and winter is associated with white.

He sees himself as their god.

Background: Steven grew up in a crime ridden family in Italy, dealing in drug trades and assassination. His father was the right hand man of a publicly notorious mafia family, with over 900 members and growing. Growing as a fine young man trained daily, he was constantly expected to succeed his father, and then finally take over the entire family itself. How ever, he only witnessed his first murder at the age of 8. Steven’s father had shot a member of a lesser known family right in front of his son’s eyes. It was on a bright winter day, a thick forest packed with snow. The emotions he could’ve described then were protectiveness. This brought on his love for humans. Seeing that the Mafia was damaging, he asked his father if he could “destroy the families.” He interpreted the meaning wrong, expecting that Steven wanted greatness, and agreed to help.

Through his father’s guidance, he studied biology, psychology and physics for 10 years and opened a pharmaceutical company which soon grew and prospered. This was funded by his Family, as long as the company produced a small amount of illegal drugs for them. One day, a duck waddled in, and Steven decided to name him ‘Edward.’ Edward was his first acknowledged friend, which encourages him to quickly bring the world into his embrace, so others would feel the bliss of his company.

Flaws: He’s possessive, controlling and a nut case if left to do what ever he wants. If his beliefs (“Everyone belongs to me”) are challenged, he would lash out and destroy the hateful monster at his first chance. He’s also fairly naive, believing that what ever others say would be absolute. He also talks to a duck. That would be a sign of insanity. He’s also quite damn selfish. His stamina isn’t the best either.

Other: He owns a duck which routinely pimps swans.

RP Sample:
“I can’t believe this!”
A firm hand slapped the mahogany table, narrowly missing the hot white cup of cocoa. “Hey, hey Eddy, look. There’s a school for SUPER VILLANS. Those blasted monsters are trying to...” A ruffled youth squirmed uncomfortably in his chair, and messed his already messed blond hair. The white duck next to him opened his beak as if to sigh, and pecked at the food in the bowl, shaking his head as if to say “that’s horrible jim.”

“I’m being serious Eddy, they want to take MY people away! Outrageous, something needs to be done about this.” The boy called Steven threw the pamphlet on the floor in mild rage. “Eddy what’s the age range for this?” The duck peered at the paper, “Quack qe quack.” Steven nodded in understanding, pacing around the light, airy room with crossed arms, completely ignoring the fact he was wearing the light blue pyjamas with a yellow duck on each butt cheek.

“Eddy!”
The duck looked up.

“I’m joining that thingy!”

The duck looked down. “Quack.”

Wow, and I thought there wouldn't be any further interest after almost a month. Having villains as the character focus just seemed to be much more promising, as they're just so much freer compared to heroes. Glad to see you guys like it.

@Xmas1999, @Mouthful of Xmas, @Sorrow Blue, @DarkDreams: All approved.

Name: Drake Vandenburg
Alias: Snake Eyes
Age: 21
Gender: Male

Student/Teacher: Student

Powers: Drake has telekinetic abilities. In layman's terms, that's the ability to manipulate objects using only your mind. Due to this power, just about any conveniently located object in the area can potentially be launched with the velocity of gunfire, his weapons of choice being a deck of playing cards. He's also really skilled at hand to hand combat. And of course, he's extremely good at card tricks, and also proficient in card games and other gambling sports. That isn't to say that he always plays by the rules, though...
Weakness: He can't control anything larger or heavier than the average adult, and his potency really just depends on how much potential ammunition there is in the vicinity. If there's nothing he can control, then he's at a major drawback.

Appearance: Drake has slightly tanned skin and smoothed dark brown hair, but one of the more curious things about him is his shades. Black sunglasses that he wears constantly, only very rarely taking them off. But, in the event that he does, it becomes quite obvious where his alias originated from.

Completely orange eyes, with black slits as pupils.

As for clothing, he wears a dark grey, long-sleeved shirt behind a dark red coat with numerous pockets in which he stores his equipment, dark brown pants, black, studded fingerless gloves, and black leather boots.

Personality: The words "cunning" or "sly" immediately come to mind when describing Drake. He thoroughly enjoys messing with people's heads, and it's difficult to figure out if he's lying or speaking the truth at any given time. Stratigics and plots have been his forte for years, and he makes sure not to leave out a single variable if he can help it. He's also incredibly extroverted, making an effort to get to know people. But that doesn't necessarily means he befriends most of them. Oftentimes he simply uses them to further whatever goals he has at that moment.

But there is one thing that is both Drake's greatest ally and biggest flaw: he's incredibly unpredictable in his actions. As mentioned before, you can never be sure if he's actually trying to be friendly or secretly planning to kill you, and hell if he's going to make figuring it out any easier. He rarely explains his motives, and likes to work under his own agendas. Which is smart in some ways, but prevents him from obtaining many real allies.

Background: Snake Eyes.

He's had them for as long as he could remember. And yet, he still didn't know why. Maybe it was some bizzare birth defect. Maybe it was some curse. He struggled to figure it out, yet the memory constantly avoided his grasp. Only his parents even somewhat accepted the strange anatomical anomaly, but everyone else distanced themselves from him.

He grew up in the suburbs of none other than Las Vegas, Nevada, where the influences of sin and vice flowed like wine. His parents made frequent trips there, but out of fear of their son being drawn in, they started making up phony excuses. An unexpected business trip. Furniture shopping. For the longest time, Drake believed these lies, for he had no reason not to. But then, everything shattered with all of the force of a sledgehammer to the skull. His parents, after having consumed rather too much wine, had killed themselves in a drunk driving incident.

Drake quickly became secluded. He locked himself in his house, and no one attempted to make any contact with him, although people said that they occasionally heard sounds of tearing and ripping. When the officers came to the house to tell Drake, who was around the age of 10, the place seemed to be barren. But when they came across Drake's bedroom, they say an astonishing sight.

Playing cards. There were countless numbers of them. And Drake himself was sitting on the floor. Not many people know what happened next, but some witnesses reported seeing a bright flash, and the sounds of screaming. But Drake knew that it was due to a supernatural power that had laid dormant since his birth, having been let loose due to the overwhelming emotions of recent events.

After that, he continued playing card games. It had been the only thing to take his mind off of his parent's recent demise. He had already known about the Sin City prior to the tragedy, and he still wanted to visit that place some day.

One day, a few years after the incident, he was approached by a crime boss, who Drake only remembers as Antino, who revealed to Drake that his parents had been high-ranking members of a criminal syndicate, and invited Drake to carry on the "family tradition". Drake accepted the proposal, and finally began shedding the anti-social and somewhat homicidally insane skin he had grown. and quickly began advancing through the ranks, proving himself to be a young prodigy. He found himself to be really good at gambling, and that served as a cover for his more...legally ambiguous prospects as a hitman for hire. And yet, he never revealed his more supernatural powers, out of fear for being shunned.

Not soon afterward, he received an invitation for some academy called Imperia. Seeing that this might be a place to show his real self, and noticing that attendance was apparently mandatory, he signed up to join.

Motivation: He's in it for the money. Pure and simple. Everything else is quite honestly irrevelent.

RP Sample (Not fot the faint of heart)
The doorbell was pressed, and a soft ding-song rang through the halls of the Vandenburg household.

"Anyone in there?" A voice, definitely belonging to a man, shouted. Upon receiving no answer, he knocked on the door three times. "No one's home. Maybe we should try somewhere else."

Upon the person's statement, the door seemed to open on its own accord. The people assembled in front of it, two police officers, a man and woman, stood in silence for a moment, before cautiously stepping inside the house.

They took wary glances around. The house was in a shambles, with furniture strewn throughout the area, and most of it torn into pieces. But the most frightening details were the messages. They were everywhere; painted on the walls in a color that looked like blood, spelled out using various pieces of furniture, carved into the couches, assembled with the bits and pieces of what appeared to be mutilated dolls and figurines. And they all said the same thing.

THEY DIED

The officers whipped their heads around to a nearby wall mirror, which was rattling very violently. Eventually it ripped itself from the wall, launching itself at the female officer, who barely managed to dodge the attack. Both of the officers pulled their pistols out, gazing at the mirror, which had fallen to the floor and shattered into numerous shards. But then, the shards began floating, rearranging themselves into intricate patterns, spelling a message.

GO AWAY

Then, the pieces of glass aimed themselves at the officers, before hurtling towards them like daggers. A few of them hit their mark, but most of them got stuck into the wall. The officers were genuinely frightened at this point, but continued looking around.

Then, a nearby knife dislodged itself from a nearby chair, and began moving towards the two, who aimed their firearms at the utensil. But it wasn't trying to stab them. It instead embedded itself in a nearby wall, and began carving out a message.

ARE YOU LOOKING FOR ME?

The officers looked at each other. "Y-yes?" the male officer answered hesitantly, before feeling a light tap at his feet. He looked down to find the source of the feeling, finding a soft, cotton doll. But its eyes had been torn out, and the holes had red paint oozing out of them, giving the appearance of bleeding. It was also missing an arm, the limb ending in a stump overflowing with cotton. The doll then pointed at a nearby door, which then swung open. The doll then fell to the ground, its other arm detaching from the main body, before crawling away.

The two made their way into the room, before finding that there were playing cards all over the place, scattered throughout the room, some distributed evenly, some in neat decks, others in haggard piles. Every piece of furniture in the room was either torn to shreds or thrown across the room. A small boy, probably about 10 years old, was absent-mindedly shuffling a deck while staring quite intently at a photo of his parents.

"Are...are you Drake?" the female officer asked hesitantly, and Drake simply gave a nod.

"We're sorry to say that-" she was about to say, but Drake cut her off with a scratchy and solemn voice.

"I know. My parents are dead. I know how they died. I was there. I followed them."

The two officials gave Drake an incredulous gaze. "Well, in any case, we're here to escort you to-"

"Go away." Drake's voice was sharp and unforgiving. The male officer gave him a stern look. "Now, don't you think that you can tell us to go away, kid."

"Go away."

The door slammed itself shut, and most of the objects in the room began rattling. In that instant, all of the playing cards in the room were lifted off of the ground, forming a cloud above the three.

"Kid...are you doing this?" the male officer asked, now back to being scared.

"I'm not going to tell you again," Drake said. "GO AWAY."

The door then slammed itself back open with enough force to dislodge it from its bracings, causing it to fall to the floor. Various objects then came in through the opening. A hand made entirely of glass, moving similarly to a spider. A robotic action figure with butcher knives in replacement of arms and legs. The nearby celing vent was busted open, before the same eyeless doll they saw earlier dropped to the floor, now outfitted with alien-looking hands with miniature knives as fingers.
"Stop this! Right now!" the female officer said in a panic, as the attackers began moving towards the two, ever so slowly.

"I warned you."

Drake finally turned his gaze to the police, showing his reptilian eyes, before a bright flash emenated from him. Faster than the blink of an eye, the playing cards launched themselves at the officers, not only lodging themselves within their flesh, but pinning them to the ground. The various abominations then began letting loose their fury on the two, and blood began flying in every direction.

As he laid there dying, the male officer tried reaching for his pistol, but the doll then leaped onto his neck, clawed hands coated in blood, its faded, painted-on smile piercing into his very mind.

"Goodnight," the doll his in a horribly warped and distorted voice, before raising its claws, and rending them straight through the man's face.

Name: Durante Sudario
Alias: Nytmayr
Age: 31
Gender: Male

Student/Teacher: Teacher
Subject: Psychological Manipulation

Powers: Nytmayr has two primary power types. One is that he's able to force himself into the subconscious of another individual, projecting thoughts and images to break his opponents. If that doesn't work, he instead resorts to his other kind of power, which is umbrakinesis, better known as the ability to control shadows. This can manifest in creating weapons and thralls out of darkness, and shadow-traveling, where he fuses himself with his own shadow, allowing for increased mobility and maneuverability.
Weakness: His mind-related powers tend not to function properly on those completely devoid of sanity. Aside from that, his powers are somewhat limited in light, as he requires darkness in the immediate area in order to use them properly. The more light there is in the area, the less he has to work with.

Appearance: Nytmayr, with a thinned and somewhat frail-looking figure, has skin as pale as the moon, and cold black eyes, more akin to two soulless abysses. His slick black hair is unkempt, and is sticking out and twisted in numerous spots. Under normal circumstances, he wears a simple outfit of a set of hooded robes, pants, boots, and gloves, all colored black as a raven's feathers, but his robes have his insignia printed on the front, a bloodied handprint with a screaming maw embedded in the palm. But when he's forced to take on a less conspicuous role, he replaced the robes with a leather jacket and shirt of the same color. His eyes also noticeably change to a bright red color when he's using his powers.

Personality: Nytmayr, to put it simply, is a sadist with a lust for domination. Cold-blooded torture and shattering someone's hopes and dreams are never too horrendous of deeds, and where most people draw moral lines, he walks right over them and keeps walking. He's a very practical villain. He knows he's evil. He knows that he doesn't have a reason for it aside from satisfying his crave for power and bloodshed. But "people who give reasons for this kind of thing are really just wasting their breath. Villainy is villainy, no matter how much you might try and sugarcoat it."

Plus, he has quite the serpentine tongue, being able to throw out a well-crafted persuasion faster than you can blink. His tactics run the gamut, from flattery and bribery, to intimidation, to the morally ambiguous realm of blackmail and death threats. This, combined with his pattern of utilizing people's fears, tend to get him whatever he desires at that moment, although there are some particularly stubborn kinds of people that he can't get through to. But in that case, he answers with good, old fashioned violence.

But, Nytmayr trusts no one. He was practically raised with the belief that at any given moment, everyone that you were foolish enough to put your trust in can and most likely will turn against you. As such, he thrives on independence, making an effort to be as defiant as possible when it comes to attempts at teamwork. His sadistic nature can also be a bit problematic at times, for he'd much rather take his time with victims rather than getting straight to the point.

Background (Told In First-Person)

Alright, if you came here looking for one of those sob stories about how I was tragically betrayed or some garbage like that, then I'm sorry to say that you're going to be very disappointed.

Yes, I'm a villain. I have been for quite some time, actually. It started in my childhood, back in Riverwood, a rural town. Days I try my hardest to forget. It was a hot summer day, and I was sitting outside of our house, in the yard, extremely bored. I didn't waste my time with any of those other filthy brats. No, I kept to myself, because I learned the hard way that trusting others is a bad idea. But, as I was saying, hot summer day and all of that.

Then I happened to come across a caterpillar. Soft, fuzzy, and green. In my curiosity, I tried poking the creature. Not only did it pay me no heed whatsoever, but its skin was hard as rocks. I tried to both break the skin, and try to get the creature's attention, my poking turning into frenzied jabbing as I increasingly realized that I was being ignored, with still no success. At this point, I picked up the insect with both hands, one at each end, and pulled, tearing the creature in half.

As its blood of some color I can't remember oozed out of its halves, I felt a rush, a feeling of enjoyment, far more so than any of the other activities that the other children called fun. I felt empowered, because I could determine the life or death of countless creatures.

Then, I realized. What if I had the same power over my peers?

That's what started it. I started...ahem...testing on larger specimens, starting from the ground up. Frogs, lizards, and rodents, followed by birds, cats, dogs. I got to know anatomical information more than anyone my age. More specifically, how to make it come to a halt. Then, around the age of 15 or so, my first human target. One of the most brute and blunt of the people around my neighborhood, one who I thought needed to be taught a lesson. So, the hunt began.

It was dead at night. I managed to locate the boy's house, and was able to silently abduct him and bring him to my abode, where numerous surprises were already laid out. The boy woke up, only to be absolutely mortified. Various animal corpses were strewn throughout the room, but the most disconcerting decorations were the caterpillars. Hundreds of them, all torn in half, and all thrown across the room.

The details after that were unimportant, but let's just say that he practically drowned in fear.

I had started getting used to this. I started killing off more and more people in town, up to the point where people began speaking of a mysterious "Riverwood Killer". Every time this was brought up, I had to fight back the urge to laugh. I was definitely becoming well-known. But I decided that my current tactics weren't enough. No, I couldn't just be a killer. I had to be one of the most deadly killers the world has ever known. One of almost...

...supernatural capabilities.

I recalled hearing about some kind of a cursed artifact, a ring or some such, one that was said to grant the wearer horrible, horrible powers. But in my book, "horrible" directly translates to "incredibly useful", so I made an effort to get my hands on it. It was all the way in some museum in Seattle, but I still managed to acquire it. Not through stealth, no. But by managing to-let's not use the term "blackmail"-convince the officials to let me borrow the thing. Followed by me killing all of the staff and any unfortunate visitors that were conveniently located with my new-found powers.

Alright, I've told you everything you need to know. I swear to all the demons above and below, if this is another one of those government tricks, I'll have your head mounted on my wall! You hear me? Where are you? Come out, you cowardly piece of slime!

Motivation: None, really, aside from having an outlet in order to let loose his desire for blood and death.

Name:Zane
Alias:N/A
Age:31
Gender:Male

Student/Teacher:Student
Subject:N/A

Powers: Though Zane possesses no powers what so ever, he is capable of some how cheating death at times, he can use his environment and his arsenal to his liking, Zane is also an experienced fighter, he is an expert with guns and knifes.
Weakness: Since Zane has no powers it tends to put him in quite a disposition at times with the villains who do. Zane's tools tend to malfunction at times, too.

Appearance: Zane wears a tattered grey button up shirt, a pair of dark filthy jeans, black finger less gloves, dark brown dress shoes, and backpack filled with home made gadgets, Zane has mid-length messy crimson red hair, he's quite tall (He tell any one about his height and weight so we can only assume), he's a tad bit under weight, Zane has red eyes.
Personality: Zane acts a fool on the outside, but on the inside, he's very smart. Zane tends to poke fun at people in their darkest hour, which can explain why no one from his home town likes him. Zane isn't really an honest/fair team player. He's likes to think that he makes the rules at times, Zane is quite a mischief maker, too.

Background: Zane never talks about his childhood much, when asked people tend to get scrambled answers, (He's knows it but he likes to keep it a secret.) Zane was the village idiot in his home town, people constantly mocked him for being an orphan, and as he said in his own words "...And one day I just made them all, 'DISAPPEAR'!" That's what probably made him unstably mischievous to begin with, Zane then went into hiding for 13 years, building a series of lethal machines in his spare time. He, then one day rose out of hiding and then made it his goal to raise hell and cause massive amounts of sadness towards those who made him who he is today, or so he say's...
Flaws: Zane tends to get out of control and his fighting technique will get sloppy. He has an obsession with laughing at those who are suffering and/or depressed (They supposedly remind him of his past.)

Other: Zane's gadget's include, exploding playing cards, gag knifes (He presses a button and the blade shoots out.), smoke bombs, 3 gag pistols (1. pull the trigger and it shoots the shooter. 2. pull the trigger and it fires explosive bullets, 3. pull the trigger and flames fly out everywhere.), joy buzzer, ninja star-like CD's, gag books (Actually a bear trap in disguise, a staff (a blade comes out of the end.), jack in the box (when the tune ends it opens up and needles shoot out.), gag apples (Actually a grenade.), and a gag suit case (open it and it some how calls a missle strike, Zane saves this for emergencies only.)

RP Sample:

Zane put a gun to his head "Now, now, don't cry..." Zane said with a smile "This will only take a second." Zane pulled the trigger and rather than bullets, fire sprayed out instead, "As you can see, I tend to think out side of the box, old chap." Zane cackled as the man was burned into a bloody crisp "Oh, boy... It's warm in here." Zane said grinned as he stared into the flames and saw a bit of his past.

"Go on, run!" A guy shouted as at Zane "You FREAK!!" Zane remembered the man throwing a bottle at him.

"That's what nailed the coffin shut." He told him self with a frown "But the again, thanks to them, I ended up becoming who I today!!" Zane giggled as he lifted his spirits.

"What did i do to deserve life" is what he said in his opening paragraph of his "Why i should attend this school" essay.

MY NOTES:

Pyra is a character i have been crafting for a little while. The RP Sample may be confusing, but try to understand that he was showing off before his essay.
