Ok, guys, I figured I'd get a little of the public input from everyone, to see what you would want in the future of the RP forum. If ya'll have ideas, feel free to post them!

Maybe some RP's in here, the RP forum, that you, the RP mod, makes. (Not something big like KPU, just something small, for people that hang out in this forum)

Maybe you can start up something big, like KPU and Fizzy Bubbles, but Non-Pokemon?
...Never mind, stupid suggestion.

Also, you can separate Non-Pokemon RPs from Pokemon...
No, that's dumb too, I'm the only one who actually does Non-Pokemon RPs.

---

We could do mini-projects here, if enough people want to, with multiple threads in its own little section, so it can be easier to access and not so jumbled up.

Requirements, at least 7 people must approve of the mini-project.
Needs a GM that's active in the RPG forum section.
You must show the Sign Up to the Moderator(You),and must and approve of it as well.

Those are some of my suggestions.

Some pretty nice suggestions! ^_^ Also, I would encourage the other regular RP forum goers to post as I would value their input.

Hey, I do non Poke RPs too. Sometimes. Some others...

Maybe something like Lucky said, a 'mini-project' part? Because larger RP's (i.e. mine) usually fall apart, but with a part that they could be executed beter...

Also, if there was a really big RP (like KPU), have people vote on it beforehand.

Well, until KPU ends we won't be having another forum-based RP. And the "mini project" idea, sounds good~!

I have another suggestion. A suggestion thread.

Example said:
Bob: I'm gonna make an x RP, who would be interested?
Jenna: Me! It sounds great!
Kristi: I've never heard of x, but I can look into it, and that RP. I could learn somthing.
Jim: I hate x, but I know someone who likes x. I could tell them about this, and maybe they will join.
Jim's friend: Sounds great.
Bob: Thats enough people. I'll make the sign up now!
Jenna: Okay, great.
Kristi: Can't wait. Hurry up, please.
Billy: AM I too late? I love x, and I also love RP'ing.
Joe's friend: Lets go, Bob.
Bob: Billy, you can join. And I posted the sign up.

But not just for everyone, that would get too cluttered. Just liek a thread, and if people like it, post a sign up in it, or make a new thread.

So kinda like an OOC thread for the RP section, except really to shoot the breeze and juggle RP ideas?

Yes. And so people post a sign up, and no one joins. Its to see if people would be interested in something new.

I agree with this idea. It would be nice to have a conversational thread here.

I think that we should have two seperate sections for sign ups and actual RPGs. It would make things more distinguishable.

How about reporting spammers, those who just needlessly flame, and shut down threads that have de-evolve into argument threads, like the Fate of Riolu sign-up Satoshi-kun-sama (as long as I am using Japanese suffixes).

Yes. I definitely encourage reporting things like that. Sign-ups, I'll more than likely notice but I'm afraid I'm not going to comb through start-ups which as we all know, get rather large.

I kinda see that happening. Well, I mean no one is RPing or talking about ideas, just arguing amung each other.

Well, there wouldn't be any problem if everyone would drop the subject and talk about normal stuff.

I wonder...would it be possible to have a 'preliminary screening' for potential RPGs? I see a fair amount where the GM either 1) does not use proper grammar themselves and/or 2) does not provide any basis for the RPG to grow on. For example, (as I've ranted about before in my blog), you cannot just throw a bunch of random characters together for no reason, then sit back and watch what happens. Those sorts of RPGs tend to die very quickly, but somehow never get off the front page and clutter up the boards.

Also, perhaps make a separate section for private RPGs. A lot of them seem to be springing up lately. Though they seem to stay active for longer, this pushes other, public RPGs low on or off the front page, so less people can see them.

A conversation thread would be nice, but I wonder if it wouldn't be more effective as a section. That way, people can just make threads about conversations specific to their RPG (ie. there are specific threads within a conversation section for RPGs A, B, and C) and people aren't lost looking for the conversation they're trying to take part in.

I agree with the discussion forum. I'd also suggest a seperate forum for Privite RPs, since they're growing in number rescently. Also, I'd suggest a 'RP Archieve', where completed RPs can be placed to protect them from dropping so far down they're deleted. They just installed one over at Animation Source, and a lot of people liked it.
