has anyone from outside the US tried to pre-order Diamond or Pearl and found that they couldnt?
play-asia said that they cant/wont ship to the UK

Where does Play Asia display that message? When I go to their D/P page, I don't get anything like that, but I suppose it's possible they have a block for Europe and not Australia.

You can get it at yesasia.com and I'd guess that people on eBay will also sell new US copies of DP.
