importing systems from Europe

I remember hearing a while back that Europe is getting the White PSP some ime this spring or summer (and also a black DS lite). I'm thinking of picking one up when I visit this summer but I'm wondering if I can replace the ac adaptor/plug charger and it would work fine in the US?

Also is the PSP still region free (for at least games) or do I have to mod it? Also how hard is it to mod it to be an all region UMD-movie player?

Does anybody know any info on this? I know importing from europe to Japan or America isn't common.

Yes.

But the DS Lite uses a new charger, so you're also gonna need an American one or can get a loose one.

Well, we almost-never actually get anything they don't and we normally wait months and months to get them.
