In-game trades and Shiny Pokemon

Hello, does anyone know whether the pokemon obtained by in game trades can be shiny if the player trades a shiny pokemon to a non-playable character in the game? For example in Heartgold and Soulsilver,Steven (non-playable character) wants to trade a Beldum for a Forretress. If the player trades a shiny Forretress to Steven will the Beldum that the player recieves be shiny too?

No. None of the in-game trades so far have shiny Pokemon involved.
