Inactivity?

Just wondering if anyone here had ideas of how to breath some more life in this little pokestories board - you know, keeping it alive and all that, because it's been about a week since the last post, except my posting spree tonight.

So, any suggestion of activities or other similiar?

Well, we could try to establish some sort of a feeling of a community here, since, IMO, the key to a good fanfic board is that everyone should know a bit about the other readers/writers. Alot of people don't post on the fact they aren't overly willing to post here, because they don't know how everyone would react to what they say. Ever notice why there's a disproportionate ratio between page views and actual replies?

Perhaps we could make an introduction topic for writers and readers here. Kinda like an overdue mixer party, so to speak. Or make a sub-channel to the [HASHTAG]#bulbgarden[/HASHTAG]@irc.aniverse for people to get together and have a chat outside of the board?

Wasn't there a mixer topic, of sorts, over in Art and Writing Cafe? A long list of pertinent info for everybody, such as favorite music/ books, etc.? Pluv started the topic, I remember that... perhaps that could become a sticky topic over here...

And then maybe everyone's too wrapped up in end of school stuff to come and post and write things. Perhaps once summer comes and everyone has more free time, the whole board will pick up. Don't get too worried. *grin*

(PS: Jack probably is hot, but I didn't vote that one, alas. I voted "pretty darn good")

Btw, one of the biggest things at Pojo back when it was a UBB was the "Discussion Topics." They started because ol' Thundarbutt and I would have little feuds from time to time in someone's fic replies, and the mods (this was before I was a mod) wanted to get that isolated.... XD

I'm with RG on the whole "people are busy" stuff. I know I am. Not to mention that holidays are coming up for some people, and there's school, work, etc.
It's the same thing on FF.net. Not a lot of people are writing. Give it time. Everything will pick up again.

Well, things are a bit better by now, but at the time I wrote this Pokestories had been about a week without any posting of any kind...that's just a wee bit on the "bad" side ;-).

But yeah, most people probably *are* busy, I know.

Try a "Complete the Story" idea? They did it on PV when I was there a few years back and it was the busiest place on the forum.

I'm torn between dishin' out food for the elderly and continuing the adventures of trainer Kado... Erm, I mean, Chris! ^^; Since ol' Kurisu isn't makin' me cash like my job is... Nyah... Which do you think I pick?

Well, it's not just that. I don't know where JTC is going anymore. I've worked it over and over again. It seems like I'm removing less slop and just putting more in. I want to add in some different characters - Steven Stone in particular. How do I do that without reducing the roles of other characters?
