In an interview with G4’s Attack of the Show, Incredible Hulk director Louis Leterrier dropped a few news bits about the upcoming film, including that the original Hulk, Lou Ferrigno did take him up on his offer at the New York Comic-Con to provide the voice for the Jade Giant in the film, as well as appear in a small role in the coming movie.
And perhaps what will grab comics fans attention was the revelation of an Avengers-themed Easter Egg, noting that, while Captain America’s sheild was seen (for eagle-eyed viewers) in Iron Man, Captain America himself makes a brief appearnace in The Incedible Hulk. Leterrier also said that he would love to direct a sequel to the film if this summer’s movie is successful enough to warrant one.

Wonder if this will fill the Nick Fury slot, or if we'll just see him in the background somewhere, or on a poster/documentary. Either way...I may see this movie just for the chance to see Cap.

Any word on who's playing Rogers? Also, is this as well as Tony Stark?

I would assume it is. Though, hopefully, two separate scenes (since I've heard Tony shows up in a bar).

And...no word on who plays Rogers. I wouldn't be surprised if this was just some bit actor in the background of a scene. Though, we'll see by next Friday (HOPEFULLY I can go see it. Depends on how construction goes). Certainly next Sunday at the latest (considering how quickly I ran into an image of Fury).

Ooh, cameos are awesome. Comes out next week? I gotta see it then. :D

i still don't understand the whole cap's shield in ironman

but i'm seeing this anyway, this just makes me want to more

What don't you understand? Why it was there (story-wise), where it was, or why it's a big deal (well...I'd hope you'd know that one)? Honestly, I'm not sure WHY it was there (and it will probably NEVER be explained). And for the where...I just don't feel like hunting down the image right now. I'm lazy.

My theory for where is that he was developing a shield based on Cap's 'for fun'. I mean, Cap's likely to be a bit of a cult figure still in their world and if you're going to go flying around as a superhero, it's pretty acceptable to believe that you'd think back to the original superhero of WWII.

That being said, I'm hopeful we'll see the 'original' shield in Cap's movie and the round shield being given to him by Stark in Avengers.

I wonder if they'll try to tie together Howard Stark working on the Manhattan Project and Captain America.

Eh, I'd like to see the round shield in the Cap film. Maybe the original's used at first, but it proves inadequate or is destroyed/lost and then he gets the round shield (I'm REALLY wondering how they'll handle the shield throwing. Just...isn't something a normal person does...).

Neither is flying or swinging around on webs. :p

I'd bet the reason it's being developed is to give it an IronTech like upgrade so it can fly off, batter enemies around the head and then fly back to Cap when he chucks it.

So it's Cap's little robotic buddy?

After turning Jarvis into a computer, small AI on a level to target and propel a shield at enemies (and then back again) seems like child's play, really. Plus, it's a better solution than Cap chucking the shield at the bad guys then having to walk over and pick it back up again, lol.

Well, that's just silly. He can already calculate the perfect angle and how much strength he'll need to throw it in order to hit the foe (or foes) and return to his hand. Adding technology will make it unrealistic.

Though, in all seriousness, he did have special magnets installed in his gloves in the mainstream universe that, more or less, was supposed to allow the shield to return there (though...they came about while Iron Man was sporting roller skates, so...yeah...).

Lol. The main trailer basically tells you the entire plot, right down to the final fight, and now the latest trailer gives you what I'd assume is at least 50% of Stark's cameo upfront.

Gimmie a trailer with Cap in it and I might not even have to go and see the movie at all. :p

i don't watch the trailers

it saves all the action for the film and it will all be new to me

Looks like it was all a big mistake, and Cap WON'T be in it. Well...not in any larger way than he was in Iron Man.

Despite Leterrier's statements that Cap was cut from an artic sequence, Hurd personally told us he was never in the film.

"He didn't really mean the character of Captain America, unless there's something that I don't know...Captain America was not visible in that scene."

Hurd: He didn't really mean the character of Captain America, unless there's something that I don't know. It's the serum.

I guess that makes sense, the Abomination's serum is probably based on Cap's Super Soldier serum a bit like Ultimate Hulk.

In the first (or one of the first) trailers/teasers, I'm fairly certain Blonsky was told he would become a Super Soldier. Though I've got a feeling the formula is a cross between Cap's and Hulk's blood/DNA/whatever (explaining why he's so big and hideous). Maybe an attempt at making a Hulk that can be controlled.

So anyone see it yet? I just got back from it and it's freakin awesome. Much better than the other one. :D
