Something that has always interested me in the gaming community is Indie games. These can be bad or good. Horror or platformers. Original or blatant rip-offs of other material. What blows my mind is that a small team or even a single person makes these (sometimes) masterpieces. Nonetheless, what are your favorite indie games? I'd say mine are Cave Story and Braid.

I haven't played many Indie games but my favourite would have to be Gunman Clive for the 3DS (you can get it on Steam apparently, but I don't use that.) Gunman Clive is your basic platformer with a very Mario-esque story and the main goal being to get from point A to point B, defeat a boss and go from point A to point B again. However, this doesn't get monotonos for two main reasons; for one, the twentey stages that are actually in the game can be cleared in around a minute, maybe two, and secondly, the fact that each of these stages are so different (well, there's a few exceptions to this, but they're MOSTLY different,) for example, Stage One is a town stage, Stage Two is a climb through a building, Stage Three is a rooftop run and so on. Another reason that this game is so good is the music; what few tracks there are are great, with my personal favourites being the Stage Six and Stage Nine themes. Even more impresive is that it was made by just two guys, one who wrote the music while the other did everything else (and yes, I know Cave Story was made by one guy, but it's still impressive.)

Supraball has recently caught my interest. It's a first-person football game, however you are able to charge your shots, do doublejumps and all kinds of trickery. It really has some depth to it even if it doesn't sound like it.

Pokémon Vietnamese Crystal Probably Minecraft because, while it's grown a ton, it's just a really impressive and fun game in my opinion.

Limbo was pretty cool. My experience with indie games is pretty limited.

Some of my favorite indie games:

Shovel Knight
VVVVVV
Cave Story
Gunman Clive
Minecraft
FEZ
Towerfall Ascension

And there's probably more I'm forgetting XD

Seriously though, Shovel Knight is amazing. One of the best games ever. Go play it. Now. And Cave Story too. I mean, Cave Story was made by one guy. Just one. He's awesome. It's fantastic.

Five Nights at Freddy's. By far one of the best indie games I've ever played. This game takes out the stereotype against indie games that are 8-bit or retro platformer inspired.
Transistor - this game raised the bar of indie games to the highest level.
VVVVVV - Crazy. The soundtrack alone is a love letter to video games.
Stanley Parable - this game puts a lot of games from big studios in to shame.

Oga boga thread revivea.

Shovel Knight. That is all... Or at least all I'm going to say about it here. If you want to know more about it, I have a 'reveiw' in the Rate The Last Game You Played thread... Here.

Of all the indie games I have downloaded on my vita my favorites are Dokuro and Escape Plan.

Tried playing Five Nights at Freddy's 2... 2 spooky 4 me

My 10-year old cousin actually introduced me to that game. I was honestly surprised that he even knew about those games. XD

Amazed that this company is considered indy, but played through Level-5's "The Starship Damrey" again.
I liked having a horror game on my 3DS
:p

Undertale and Minecraft from ones that I've played because they're imaginative and enjoyable to play.

Though I haven't played these yet from what I've seen I do like Shovel Knight, Gary's Mod and Freedom Planet.

Just started Child of Light and I absolutely love it. Next I think I'm going to try out Transistor and the one about the war dog (I wish I could remember the name >_< ).

Minecraft and Undertale.

I'm currently playing Dust: An Elysian Tale, I like it so far.
I'm interested in trying out Cave Story and Shovel Knight at some point.

I've played a few but never get to play too much of them. The last one I played was Undertale, which has to be one of the best games I've played in a long time. I also enjoy playing Minecraft a lot because it's a game that's all about creativity.

I do want to play some more indie games at some point.

I'm going to pick up Undertale after the holidays, the entire internet is crazy about it so I may as well check it out
